This documentary, an Oscar nominee this year, takes a look at the lives of some of the residents of an Actor's Fund home and is a glimpse into the lives of people who worked in the theater and film business-in front of and/or behind the stage or camera. No household names (although I had heard of Dalton Dearborn before and Pamela Duncan.), just a number of people who made something of a living at their craft and now enjoy reminiscing with others with the same background. It is really kind of like taking a time machine back 40 or 50 years, in a way. At turns funny and sad, joyous and heart-rending, anyone who is fascinated by the theater or films beyond just watching movies will probably enjoy this. Part of the Cinemax Reel Life series, it will probably air periodically for at least the next year or so. Well worth the effort to see. Most highly recommended.
