John of God , Juan De Dios (Juán Muñoz) , is a fine gypsy, a man of good. Humble and upright , Juan lives in a little shack on a slum in Madrid with his wife , children and father (José Carabias) , and earns his money by selling "malacatones" in the Market of Madrid and taking the "special" out of the slots. His life passes peacefully accompanied by his family and loved ones until fate crosses his path and turns his life around. As his daddy is kidnapped , and Juán and his family go to Marbella to free him . His kidnap is linked to an international summit between North and South countries . The greatest adventure that a gypsy ever : La mayor aventura que un gitano jamás viviere.

This diverting film is made to entertain , and this movie , especially for a good time and a nice entertainment , as the same time it satirizes a typical gypsy family . ¡Ja me mateen¡ is a passable and silly comedy that has several funny and hilarious scenes , including persecution , mayhem , confusion , bizarre Chinese baddies, car crashes and many other things . ¨¡Ja me maaten..¡¨ is written, directed, produced and starred by Juán Muñoz assisted by a large cast of familiar faces . The screenplay is absurd as well as crazy , just what makes laugh a lot . Director/writer/actor Juan Muñoz gives a sympathetic acting as the honest and humble gypsy who lives in a poor neighborhood with his family until something unexpected changes his life forever and that just means he's a pathetic character , but really likeable , as he also has his unsettling charms . As the film takes advantage of hilarious skills of Juán Muñoz who was member of the Spanish comic duo "Cruz y Raya", together with José Mota. They met at the military service in 1985, and after leaving it they decided to go to Madrid in search of adventure, where they started their first show, known as ''60 characters in search of humor', imitating many famous people. This first show was very successful and soon they were given the opportunity to act at 'Caribiana', one of the most important night clubs in Madrid, where they were doing their performances until they got a contract with the 'Windsor' hall at the Gran Vía street, where they were acting for two years, until they reached the honor of being the kings of independent humor. Later, they began their radio career, with several programs that made them known to a big audience. Making their debut on TV in the program Raffaella Carrà's program 'Hola Raffaella'. In 1990 they made their debut at cinema with the film Ni se te ocurra... (1991), with a warm reception from the audience. Their next occupation was TV, doing special programs of great success. The comic duo 'Martes y Trece' decided to rest that year and TVE asked them to do the 1993 New Year's Eve's TV Special. They accepted and made a program named 'Este año, Cruz y Raya ¡Seguro!', after which the famous 12 bell strokes were broadcasted live.

¡Ja me maten..¡ grossed success enough at Spanish box office and that's why it followed a sequel : Ekipo Ja (2007) with similar artistic and technical team . And ¡ Ja me maaten¡ contains many cameos of famous people , such as : Enrique Villén, Marta Valverde, Loreto Valverde , Caco Senante , Santiago Urrialde, Marlène Mourreau, Pedro Reyes, Arévalo, Enrique Villén , Luis Rellán , Alfonso Lussón , José Manuel Parada, Belinda Washington , Maria Jimenez and Jose Sancho , furthermore , the known bands : Los Chunguitos and Los Chichos . Many of them famous from Television and ¨Cuore¨ magazines . The cameos are very amusing and fun and there are lots of laughters and jokes . The movie contains a colorful cinematography as well as catching musical score . Juán Muñoz dares to make the movie with total entertainment and bemusement , it is 100 and some minutes of fun and laughters . It was a commendable effort by Juán Muñoz to make a film like this . This film will not disappoint Juán Muñoz fans.
