This movie is a must-see for Anita Rinaldi's fans, this is her best role, that's true that she doesn't have played in many movies but she's so beautiful, exciting in this one. This is a parody of "Citizen Kane" that everyone knows, Anita plays a journalist looking for the truth about Shane's life, she wants a scoop, and her boss is looking for something else. The cast is amazing : Christopher Clark, Erica Bella and also Draghixa, this film is directed by the great Marc Dorcel himself. Please Anita, we want you back, we need you, we love you!
Marc Dorcel's Citizen Shane unfolds as a cinematic fever dream, blending Euro-porn elegance with a pulp-fiction edge. Set against Venice's misty canals and opulent interiors, the film marries sleek cinematography with a narrative that oscillates between revenge thriller and erotic odyssey. The protagonist, Shane (Christophe Clark), is a brooding antihero navigating a labyrinth of desire and betrayal, his quest for vengeance against a corrupt magnate intertwined with encounters that blur the lines between power and pleasure.
Andschana and Anita Rinaldi deliver standout performances, their chemistry with Clark simmering with a mix of danger and vulnerability. Dorcel's direction leans into lush visuals-velvet drapes, candlelit chambers, and water reflections-that elevate the film beyond mere titillation. Yet, the plot's reliance on familiar tropes (corporate greed, femme fatales) occasionally undermines its ambition, leaving moments of genuine tension diluted by predictability. The softcore pacing, while atmospheric, may test viewers craving narrative urgency.
Despite its flaws, Citizen Shane lingers as a artifact of '90s adult cinema-a stylish, if uneven, exploration of morality and lust.
