When Ariana DeBose hosted February’s BAFTA Awards, she opened with a meme-generating performance that conquered the internet, with reactions ranging from cringe to double cringe. DeBose — who co-wrote the lyrics “Angela Bassett did the thing, Viola Davis my Woman King, Blanchett Cate you’re a genius, Jamie Lee you are all of us” — seems to be having the last laugh … all the way to the bank.
The 32-year-old Oscar winner hit the London Palladium stage April 1 for a one-night engagement that saw her perform the ditty once again for a sold-out crowd along with covers of “Vogue,” “Ray of Light,” “Hand in My Pocket” and a mashup of “The Ladies Who Lunch” with “Poor Unfortunate Souls.”
A Hollywood Reporter spy attended the show and forwarded pics of DeBose’s merch that included T-shirts, totes and posters emblazoned with the rap lyrics. (Images also surfaced on Twitter, seen below.)

Heading into the 2023 Grammy Awards Sunday night, Beyoncé was our odds-on favorite to win Album of the Year for her critically acclaimed disc “Renaissance.” The evening’s host, Trevor Noah, even gushed over her awards supremacy throughout the evening, at some points making Queen B herself look a bit uncomfortable. She did take home four trophies, making her the biggest Grammy winner of all time with 33, but lost the night’s biggest prize to Harry Styles‘ “Harry’s House.”
It was a ceremony filled with surprises — Lizzo took down Adele and Styles to win Record of the Year for her smash “About Damn Time.” Perhaps nobody was more shocked on the night than Bonnie Raitt, who won Song of the Year for “Just Like That.” Had Beyoncé won Album of the Year, she would have become just the fourth Black woman to achieve this feat, and the first in 24 years.

Singer Madonna has hit a record-breaking milestone after scooping a top 10 album every decade since the release of her self-titled debut release in 1983. The 64-year-old has become the first female to land an album in the Billboard 200 top 10 every decade since the early 1980s, reports mirror.co.uk.
Since her self-titled debut in 1983, the Queen of Pop has sat in the top 10 in the 80s, 90s, 200s, 10s and now, officially, in the 20s.
Her new remix compilation, Finally Enough Love, debuts at No. 8 on the September 3-dated chart.
According to Billboard, Madonna is the 10th act to have achieved this distinction and the other nine are all solo male artists or groups comprising men.
She logged a total of five top 10s on the Billboard 200 in the 1980s.
Seven in the a90s.
Six in the 2000s.
In the ’10s she had four.
Of those 23 top 10s, nine reached No.

Happy birthday to Ray of Light, the masterwork that introduced the world to Cosmic Psychedelic Madonna, 20 years ago this week. Ray of Light was the queen’s first proper album in four years, dropping on March 3rd, 1998, a week after she unveiled her new sound with the single “Frozen.” It was Madonna’s motherhood album, after giving birth to daughter Lourdes. It was her avant-techno move, with U.K. producer William Orbit. It was her spiritual-awakening statement. But Ray of Light holds up as her most soulful and passionate music...
