First and foremost, I just wanted to say that this show was (and still is) underrated and underappreciated.
This show is like the indie version of 'Boy Meets World (which is fitting considering Will Fridle is in this show too) Or '5th Rock From The Sun', and those types of Tv Shows were the best!
Now, is it perfect? Definitely not. Were there some outdated ideologies and uninteresting subplots? Absolutely. But it was still a fun and cute show, nonetheless.
And as (basically) Kieran Culkin's debut into the acting scene, he did a pretty great job!
So, if you're looking for some lighthearted and fun content to watch, you should definitely check it out and give it a shot.

I saw "Go Fish" on my cable guide moments before its premiere. At first, I thought that it would be just another stupid summer show! But then I remembered last Summer's Survivor, so I figured that ALL summer premieres can't be all THAT bad! So I decided to watch the first two episodes, hoping to revive some of my classic feelings I had while watching episodes of "Saved by the Bell" for the first time..... and it was so much fun!
The main character is Andy Troutner (Kieran Culkin, Macauly's brother), nicknamed Fish. He has two friends nicknamed Krak and Hazard. The show brings you through their high school years!! Their adventures are full of love, hate, trouble, crushes, fights, weird situations, weird teachers, and much much more. It also shows Andy's older brother, Pete (Will Friedle, the older brother from Boy Meets World) and Pete's new adventures as a teacher at the same high school straight out of college. It doesn't hurt that there are many good-looking girls in this show (Kimberly Ellis and many more)! The show is good, not trash, and makes you laugh and feel for the characters who aren't exactly the most popular crayons in the box! It's funny and somewhat satrical of high school!
The show is one of my new favorite shows! It has great actors, plus great, hilarious performances by Andy Dick as the crazy Drama teacher! The show is funny, touching, and just all around great entertainment!!

Even though I'm not great at writing reviews, seeing how little this show had made me want to write one.
It might be because I'm a huge Kieran Culkin fanboy, but I love the overt cheesiness that this show has while simultaneously being super funny. The actors are incredible and second-hand embarrassment from hilarious stories of newly-minted high-schoolers had me giggling out loud. I even find myself quoting the show at times, and my friends love it. It's definitely a show I'd recommend to anyone looking for a simple but good laugh.
Even though it wasn't the peak of comedy, it was fun to laugh at some stupid highschool shenanigans in between all the more serious content I've been viewing lately.

Not-very-funny television show that introduces us to two brothers (Kieren "I Look Like Macaulay" Culkin and Will Friedle) whose lives are the prime focus of this show that only got a few episodes on NBC before it was booted.
I looked forward to it and found myself disappointed. Last I heard, Kieran was doing a play in downtown London. Should be called "Go Figure."

this is one of my favorite new shows! ok, not so cool kids trying to be popular is not a new concept, but the situations and the comedy are truly unique!
personal favorite episode??? andy has joined the wrestling team and wants to bump out the other kid in his weight class, a foreign exchange student who looks pretty punny, but who can kick his a**. so, how does he eliminate the competition??? he invites the kid over and stuffs him full of "cream of butter soup", "deep fried bacon wrapped mozzarella sticks", "fudge cake", and hostess "ding dongs" to help him gain weight and bump him to a new weight class.
you should really check Go Fish out.

I personally liked this show, but I guess others did not. This show could have been a little better if it didn't focus so closely to Andy trying to get Jess' attention, but to other typical and funny problems teenagers usually have when they start Jr. High.
I admit, at first I had prejudice toward "Go Fish." I mean it stars Andy Dick and the older brother from "Boy Meets World" along with Macaulay Culkin's younger brother, so it can't be that good, right? Boy was I wrong. Judging solely from the pilot, this show has great potential and is one of the best of NBC's experiments I have seen, and definitely this years best. Andy Dick and Will Friedle both give very believable performances and Keiran Culkin does an outstanding job as your typical teen. Joe Flaherty (of SCTV) provides the comic relief along with Molly Cheek. I encourage watching this show and personally I will enjoy watching it develop.
The pilot episode for this new Summer half-hour sitcom was not bad. The show revolves around two brothers, one played by Kieran Culkin and his older brother played by Will Friedle. They are both starting their first semester at Senior High, Kieran being a student and Will being a teacher.
Both brothers try hard immensely to fit in. Kieran wants to win the affections of a fellow female student while Will seeks a love interest in a fellow teacher who teaches Shakespeare. As they both live in the same house, their parents portray two 'nutty' characters much like the parents in "Malcolm In The Middle". While this show provides no laugh track, it attempts to conquer the all-too-familiar 'coming of age' aspect of adolescence by using comedy and slapstick humor as a backdrop. Throw in Andy Dick as a whacko drama teacher and you'll see my point.
Whether this show will last all of Summer remains to be seen. It could have been more original had it come out before "The Wonder Years". Otherwise, it's probably one of the better shows to hit the Summer TV schedule.
6/10

this show is nbc's lowbrow attempt to hit the teen through 24 year old demographic. it exagerates the awkwardness of teen life to a point of utter embarrassment ( not just the characters, the audience too). however, i find myself drawn to it. i can relate with some of the issues and some it is actually funny. it shouldn't be funny, but it's kind of true, so it is did that make sense?). i'm going to keep watching this show. i'd be *very* surprised if it wormed it's way into the fall lineup, but not disappointed.
"go fish" is about high school freshman andy "fish" troutner, who is seriously jonesin' for a sophomore named jess. he has an elaborate plan to aquire her and popularity to be executed with the help of his 2 buds, "krak" and hazard.his older bro, pete, a former big man on campus, has come back to the school to become a teacher, expecting to be popular all over again.he learns the hard way about being a "cool" teacher. andy dick plays a way too flamboyant ( i don't mean gay, do i?) drama teacher. the parents are whacky, the female teacher is attractive; hijinks ensue.
it really depends on your tolerance of goofy-doofus jokes about homosexuality and adolescence if this is the show for you.

Ok... the T.V. show "Go Fish" rocks. And so does Kate Ellis "Jess Riley" I can't say anything else about the other people because I don't know them personally. I think all the actors and actress did a very good job on the show. I just want to know why the show still isn't on. Or if it is why in the heck doesn't my town have it on their cable system. I love that show and hope to see it on T.V some time soon.

This is a great new show. I just saw the first 2 episodes and I think it is a great new idea. It is the kind of show that everybody can like at least some of. With a great look at high school life and the problems that one may or may not face. Still it is hilarious!

Watching the debut episode of this show last night, the only thing that really caught my eye was the chick that played Jess who I recognized from Days of Our Lives. The chick who played the teacher from Way of The Gun and a cute little blonde girl. The show is like a modern day wonder years which stars Kieran Culikn as Fish a freshmen at a new high school where his brother is a new teacher. On his first day of school he makes an ass of himself and pretty much that it's. The second episode was much better where a girl used Fish to make another guy jealous but naturally he starts to like the girl. All in all this show could use some better writing but it's decent. It also stars Andy Dick and Will Friedle.
