Great script, well filmed and edited

It is very interesting how Walter Hugo Khouri was able to portray a lot of nudity and sex, as it was expected in those decades in Brazilian cinema, without making it purposeless. It always makes sense in the story, and this movie is perhaps the one with the best outcome. "As feras" begins with a quite trilling atmosphere. Afterwards, it gives place to more information than questions. Indeed, more and more information appears and the lives of different characters connect to each others, showing similarities, empathy, hatred, jealousy, lust. However, doubts remain as multiple predictable ends come to mind simultaneously. Which of them will happen? Or none of them? Past meets present and they suggest dark imminent future. Script is very well done, being psychologically thrilling, shocking and deep at once. Soundtrack works, acting is good (Claudia Liz particularly surprises a lot; more present in television than in cinema, she much probably has her best performance ever in the role of Ana. Luiz Maçãs also must be highlighted as the disturbingly intriguing Wilson "Jack"), direction is excellent, camera and edition are fantastic and innovative. This is one of the best LGBT+ Brazilian movies ever and also one of the best films Brazil has ever produced about mysoginy.
