An Indo-Bangladesh Joint Production Aar Paar Directed By Shakti Samanta is A Romantic / Action Drama. Plot is Very Simple & Predictable, Screenplay is Well Written, Which Tends To Be Engrossing. Direction is Good To Average. Dialogues & Action is Fine.

Ghania(Mithun Chakraborty) is A Fisherman in A Small Town Of Raipur. He Uses A Ferry That He Has Leased From Mahesh Manna(Utpal Dutt), To Fish, Sell Fish To Mahesh, And Use His Earnings To Buy The Ferry in Installments. When Ghania Finds Out That He Has Been Swindled, He Takes His Business Elsewhere To Another Businessman Mohd. Bassir(Golam Mustafa). Ghania is in Love With Kamli(Rozina), And Would Like To Marry Her. Mahesh Also Has His Eyes On Kamli. Meanwhile Ghania is Framed For Molestation & Rape Of Kamli By Mahesh. Ghania's Father Also Gets Killed By Mahesh.

Acting Wise, Mithun is As Usual Better With His Dialogues & Action. Rozina Bangladesi Actress Did Well As Kamli. Utpal Dutt, Always Seen in Comedy Does A Negative Character With Conviction And Also With A Hint Of Comedy. Nuton Again An Artist From Bangladesh As Pannabai Has Few Scenes But Effective.

Music By R.D. Burman is Average. "Jaiyo Na Jaiyo" By Kishore & Sabina Yasmin And "O Majhi Tere Naiya Se" By R.D Burman Himself Are Better Compositions.
