Creepy and unpleasant.

This Yugoslavian film is also known as "Fisheye" and has won many international awards for excellence. It begins in a bizarrely animated fishing village--the colors and style are just too unusual to adequately describe. It's all very somber, however, and combined with the evocative music it set an unusual mood. And, in the midst of this unusual mood, the fish all begin to come to the surface...and come ashore. No, they haven't washed up but are here to take over!! Armed with a trident and a very bad attitude, the fish begin running amok in town--killing and taking over at will (see...I TOLD you this might one day happen!!). Their campaign is very bloody and you'd think that this was a propaganda film by PETA, but it is not--as the people get a taste of what it's like to be a hunted fish. All in all, a very creepy and unpleasant film. I doubt if this is the sort of cartoon you'd show your kids!
