Tedious white-coat sex

There was plenty of fast money to be made in 1970, when white-coater porn films briefly ruled. SEXUAL PRACTICES IN Sweden is a typical entry, offering little for the fans to munch on then, or now.

A lisping coot behind a desk with a heavy accent bores us for an hour with non-stop narration purportedly trying to help married couples get some oomph back into their sex lives. It's all styled as well-meaning, but merely an excuse to sugar coat some porn. There's nothing Swedish about this junker, just riding the coattails of Scandi imports.

Nearly all the action here is softcore, though there are moments of XXX fellatio as a sort of wake-up call for the audience. Quite disappointing is the budget-conscious decision to feature merely three couples, cross cutting amongst them, as they dry hump in very boring fashion.

For the fans chief interest is seeing Patrick & Tally Wright as the most familiar-looking pair, soon to star in several above-average porn films. The narrator's summation of "One picture is worth a thousand words" is as cornball as the uninspired and unstimulating action on view.
