This movie is the "opera prima" from Rodrigo Moscoso, a film director born in the city of Salta which is the city where the movie occurs.

I think that an average score of 3 is very unfair because is a really great piece of work, yet the film is a independent small budget film so don't expect to find a Hollywood style super production here.

The movie follows the adventures and misadventures of 3 friends in his summer vacation, from Christmas to carnival. The characters are very well depicted, I lived in Salta a year and the accuracy capturing the city people essence is amazing.

The movie is simple, because it tells simple stories, but at the same time, they are fulfilled with a vast color pallet, loaded with local manners and a comedy touch.

Modelo 73 is then a folkloric film, a comedy, and also kind of a teen road movie, but without going nowhere, as the movie goes on, you will find out why.

Enjoy it!
