Two Bears and the Fish
theatrum-19 December 2006
Warning: Spoilers
"K princeznam se necucha"("Don't smell to the princesses!") is the third part of Bohemian animated serial for children "Pojdte, pane, budeme si hrat" ("Let's go to play games, Sir"), a cycle of short stories about two bears (the younger one is naive a playful, the older one is crafty). This story works playfully with the concepts of fairy-tales and adventure stories. The younger one has crop a fish and the other one wants to eat it. So he lies him that the fish is a princess and the young bear must find a way how to make the princess free. The animation is perfect. Animators attentively make a fantastical landscape around the town of Kolín, they use the principles of meta-animation (an animation in animation) and reach superb stylization of the story. Narrator Rudolf Deyl who speaks both of them is also perfect.
