The Best.
UncleJohnny6623 June 2004
I love George and Martha. George and Martha is about two hippo pals that live in a town called Happy Palms. The best part about George and Martha is that they have money but don't work for it. This is a great show for the whole family to watch together. It may have only been around for one season and only have 20 episodes but I give it 5 stars. I watch it any chance I get. I get so mad when I miss an episode I go completely insane. But on a serious note it's a really good show for kids and adults to sit down and watch and enjoy. I hope if any of you see it on television just take those 23 minutes and enjoy the show I promise you'll love it and want to watch it again and again.

A really good show
bobbakerpuppetmaker27 November 2016
When Bob was in hospice I got him watching this show and Peep and the Big Side World They became his favorite shows and none of his remaining 90 days on earth going by without him requesting this (or Qubo) so he could watch it

The two hippos friendship doing as they want and where and not making any excuses for it is hilarious The theme music Perfidia is perfect Some of the humor is on the adult end of the scale and may slip past a child's humor level but it remains one of my favorites and Bobs too while he resides at Forest Lawn

Unfortunately the shows seasons were predetermined by contract and not popularity hence the 2 season or 36 -40 show limitations Someone from the production staff should organize this site and give credits to the additional voices and production staff Lots of additional information missing such as complete music credits

Nathan Lane is the best
samcracc12 July 2007
I have seen this show on HBO Family and it was an excellent show. Nathan Lanes as the voice of George the hippo was brilliant. Andrea Martin as the voice of Martha the hippo was excellent. Sea Cullen as the voice of Eton was interesting. Colin Mochrie as the voice of Bud Chuckles was Hilarius. The show looks like from the series from the book. The books where Hilarius. Nathan Lanes voice is between Timon, Snowbell, and Spot Helperman from Teachers Pet. What funny that he thinks that those shoes are too big on George the hippos shoe. This Show is excellent the kids will like this movie they will like George and Martha, the other characters, funny laughs, and even a great theme music.

I used to like this show as kid but when I was 8 I stared to hate it I mean what happen to them ever since season 1 what happen to them its really annoying and scary to me this may be one of the shows that never got a 3rd season because of not many people watching it any more its just like tugs and goof troop and other shows that where canleced after the 90s to the early 2000s that never got a 3rd season this show has not been shown on TV for a long time I have not seen this show in a long time so can't tell all about how popularly it was I don't know for the two main characters of this show are just making fun of over weight people who can't help but eat all the time I feel sorry for those people because I have got a grandfather who is over weight and I am scared of being over weight this show is turning into another family guy show which is a annoying and rude but its lucky to not show rude sences like family guy and its almost as bad as fanboy and chum chum oh yeah that was bad that was really bad so if you where me think about this really carefully to think it never to get a 3rd season.

George and Martha, a Children's Animated Show: A Fair and Honest Review
hdoerr-0210810 January 2024
I recently had the opportunity to watch the popular children's animated show, "George and Martha," and unfortunately, I found it quite underwhelming. While the show had moments of amusement, it lacked the depth and complexity I hoped for. The animation style was undoubtedly cute and visually appealing, but the characters were one-dimensional and could have further development.

The show's pacing was slow for my liking, and I sometimes got bored. However, I must admit that the show did have some positive themes about friendship and kindness, which are always great for children to learn. The messages conveyed in the show are indeed something I appreciate, and it's always a plus to see such values taught to young viewers.

I would rate the "George and Martha" show a 5 out of 10. While it's okay, there are better options for children's entertainment. You should explore other options if you're looking for a show that will captivate your child's attention and offer a more well-rounded viewing experience.
