Kolkata, Dec.30: Eighty-two-year-old Bollywood and Bengali actress Suchitra Sen has been shifted from a general bed to the critical care unit of a Kolkata Hospital, as her medical condition has been described by doctors as serious due fluid accumulation in her lungs.

Sen is said to be on antibiotics and oxygen in the privately-run Belle Vue Clinic. Her diabetic parameter, too, is said to be fluctuating adding to the problem.

Sen was admitted to the clinic with respiratory tract infection and complaints of breathlessness.

Living a reclusive life for decades now, Sen was last hospitalized in 2012 for a fracture.
