This is a story about a young man Vitya Kruglov, who studies at the Arts College, but has a passion to play football (soccer) with friends in the yard. Due to this he gives up studies in favor of becoming a footballer. He is accepted into the leading football club of the USSR Premier League - Spartak Moscow and begins to train hard, moving to his aim of achieving perfection in football, the game which he calls "the most beautiful game in the world". The film is also a story of love between Vitya and his girl-friend Nina. Vitya loves her very much, although he has very little time for her due to frequent and long trainings.

I like this film, and I desire to watch it once again. Very good performance by actors. Very nice plot and its realization. For example, many moments in the film were filmed at the largest stadium of the country - Luzhniki (then it was called Central Lenin Stadium); leading footballers of the USSR in the 1980s: Sergei Rodionov, Rinat Dasaev, Yury Gavrilov were briefly interviewed in the film. And a beautiful music by Mikhail Plyatskovsky, as well as not less beautiful song. All this charmed me in the movie.
