Feel good and cute film....also very illogical
santoshkumarmamgain6 June 2020
Zamane ko Dikhana hai is one of the rare movies which are illogical to the core and have no semblance of logic anywhere but is still very entertaining and humorous. There is a lot of humor in the proceedings and this is what saves the film from becoming a typical masala movie. Chemistry between Rishi and Padmini is so cute and endearing and they share the best moments of the film. The film can be watched just for these two. Rest of the cast is quite adequate except Tariq Khan whose character makes no sense at all. Also Kader Khan acting like an old man makes no sense (to be honest a lot of things in the film makes no sense). Music is really good especially poocho na yaar kya hua and hoga tumse pyaara kaun. All in all an entertaining and cute film if you don't apply logic.

feel good romance all the way!

zamane ko dikhana hai is an all time great date movie! criticised at the time of its release for not being up to the mark of director nasir hussains blockbuster HUM KISISE KUM NAHIN ZKDH has aged like a good wine & today 26 years after its release still doesn't feel dated.

Rishi Kapoor sees P Kolhapuri & falls for her. She gets a job as a disguised male caddie with him & helps him search for the elusive "Kanchan" ( Kolhapuri)

The story follows the usual Nasir Hussain formula & has nothing new to offer but the direction, screenplay , music from panchamda & a memorable performance from Rishi Kapoor ensure the movies legacy.

Just as in the 80s young lovers will keep watching this movie on DVD.

Excellent!

This is one of the most entertaining romances produced by Bollywood. The songs are amazing and both Rishi Kapoor and Padmini Kolhapure are very good. Mani Rathnam should check out the 'Hoga tumse pyaara kaun' song to see the picturization of a song on top a train done right...

USELESS MOVIE
sunildaswaney27 May 2022
Difficult to accept and understand how the same filmmaker who made such excellent movies like TEESRI MANZIL and YAADON KI BARRAT made such complete trash when he made this movie.

Great

this is a great movie that a family can watch.it has great performances by the lead pair.Rishi you can tell had lots and lots of energy.especially in the title song.the story is also something people can relate with.it's just like real life and it's interesting enough like you were there.the director and his team of writers were amazing.and the way you think that Amjad Khan is the villain was well written.

all the songs were good.but ZKDH is my fav.along with Hoga Tumse Pyaara Kaun.RD has gone full out for this soundtrack.looking forward to HKKN since it's basically the same team at it again.

Family fare
cohuman28 February 2023
The film lacks logic at several points but is a feel good one time watch. Typical 80s fare .Padmini was known for her folded dupatta and salwars and her original long hair. Rishi is an incorrigible lover boy . Impossible not to like this pair. Usuals like Om Shivpuri , Shiram Lagoo , Randhir Kapoor , Vijay Arora have hardly any roles but they are all likeable . The whole story basically is about cute misunderstandings between Rishi and Padmini among lush hills of Darjling . Nice locales nice songs . Not much of a story . Yogita looks ethereal in her white sarees as Amjad's wife . Over all a fine family fare .
