Great and cute movie.
Janet42131 March 2005
It was a great and cute movie. It was a wonderful movie and really cute. My daughter saw it and she loved it. The directing wasn't too great but that is okay. I liked it a lot and thought it was fun. My kids are really nuts about Nickelodeon and so they liked it. I like Nick at Nite which means I liked it too. The movie was fun and I actually did read the book to my students. Showed them the movie too. They all liked it. I was wondering though where you can order a copy of it. Or anything like that. My students wanted to take it home with them. It was really cute and a fun movie. Cheers to you. - Jan Dominque 4th Grade Teacher London, England -

I loved it and thought that young boy who played Tony is going to be a teen heart throb. James Holzier is such a good actor and is so cute too!It was a great Kids movie and I hear James Holzier is doing another family movie. I can't wait!

Child like director. Was not impressed with film.

Elementary use of camera and lack of direction. The only thing I found to be good about the movie was the young actor who portrayed Tony. He reminded me of my little brother. I found it hard to get into the movie. Basically you would have to pay me to see it again. Obviously the director has not had many honest people in his life as far as his talent goes.

Thank god for the guy who played Tony!

So, I really liked the movie because the actor that portrayed Tony did such an amazing job. You could just tell he was living as Tony during the moments on screen. The visual shots were just amazing. I love the sepia tone that was used through out the movie. Also, the fact that his catch phrase was, "My love moves at the speed of Light, but my heart moves at the speed of dark" was so thought provoking and deep. Sheer poetry.

**Spoiler** At the end of the movie when it was revealed that Wily was Tony all along and that the only way to survive the radiation was to make a flesh suit out of Tony's dead twin and wear it was amazing!!! I Could not hold back the tears as I watched him have to choose life over family. Never have I felt such emotion. I <3 you guy who played Tony!!! Sorry about that unfortunate accident in Holland!

Wow!

Not since The Boy Who Coud Fly was I so moved by such a young actors performance. When Tony finally confronted his mother's rapist/killer, I truly felt the as if we were one, "die, bad man, die!". You just can't write stuff that good, it had to come from a true story. I was sad when I found from actor James Holzier FAQ that he lost (most) of his penis in a tragic accident with his Dacshsund/Chihuahu mix 'chorizo' during a family vacation in Holland, which is why an obvious prosthetic can be seen in the film (1:12:42). However, on the whole, mostly, I think I found I considered this to maybe probably be one of the possibly best under the radar films in the genre!
