Trivial nudie import

The British '50s Nudist Camp films hold up surprisingly well lo these many decades later, but this bit of French fluff is lame. It wasn't very exciting to begin with 53 years back, and not surprisingly I'm the first one to chime in at IMDb at this late date.

It's shot MOS, with comical French-accented narration. Dumb opening has a thief finding a film can containing the movie we'll be watching (of course we're also watching the scene of him finding it, but who cares.

The French heroine voices over her decision to marry a British playboy named Archibald. We see scenic footage of Paris, as Arch also narrates, and his misadventures transpire. A lady wants to paint him; she's sexy painting topless. Next a lady writer picks him up for a silly skit, followed by a b&d segment.

So it goes, very mild soft-core but likely passing muster with its semi- nudity for viewing at burlesque houses or Adult Cinemas during this prehistoric period. The studio shots are poorly matched with location photography and vet filmmaker Gaston Hakim doesn't care much for continuity.

Film's highlight has him ogling a girl with huge Ekberg-style tits, but the boring, repetitive nature of the film might have most audience members asleep by the time that occurs. Many girls in deshabille in a dressing room plus one taking a bubble bath are thrown in for good measure. Finale has him finally getting back into bed with his bride, and the thief running off with the movie. Finis.
