Early Edison
Horses Loading for Klondike (1897)
This Edison short would be a good example for showing people how just about anything made for an interesting subject when movies first began. The film runs a quick 25-seconds and we simply see some horses being put into large boxes, hoisted up and eventually put on the deck of a ship. I'm sure many people would watch this thing and scratch their heads as to why this was ever considered entertainment but when someone had never seen any sort of image in their life then I think it's safe to say that even something like this would make them want to pay a penny to see. This isn't the greatest film ever made and it's certainly nothing too special but those who enjoy watching these early films will want to check it out.
