Very amateurish feel.

Very strange movie. Is it a comedy or drama?, is it an adult or kids movie?. Its tedious, booring and not well acted ( I can't believe the actors could keep a straight face). I think the best thing is in the credits that give the locations of where the film was shot. I think this is a great idea, especially if its filmed in a city or location you know. I don't like to knock Aussie movies but the script could have been a lot better.

greatly disappointing

This movie has to be one of the worst films i have seen so far. The computer graphics and the story idea behind this film is very poor. It deals about a alien colony hidden in a light of a room in a building, and starts to overtake people with its strange powers. The light then acts like a ghost and floats around. The computer graphics of this movie have to be one of the worst i have ever seen because you can actually tell its using a blue screen and that there has not been much work implemented into it. The ending also does not make sense, but see it for yourself if you seem interested.

Worth seeing!

Warning: Spoilers
I'm surprised this movie received such bad reviews. I liked it right up to the second last scene. I thought that scene was a bit of a letdown, but the last scene itself did restore a bit of balance. And I will admit that some of the characters were just a little bit too weird. On the other hand, the plot itself is rather weird, so why not have weird characters as well?

On a few occasions, I thought the actors tended to overplay, but that was obviously intentional rather than slip-shod or accidental. The reason? To disguise some gaping holes in the script, both continuity-wise and believable-wise.

On the whole, by the humble standard of Australian movies, not only did the script click and hold my attention right up to that second- last scene, but the acting, if a little overdone, was persuasive. The characters were interesting, the situations novel (if perhaps a little too weird to be believable), the direction skillful and production values both literally and figuratively out of this world!

Wild

I have the same name as John Howitt...so I'm a little bias here...but the over all aesthetic was nice. It made me feel good. It was a bit like a loony train ride. I felt as if I could of been somewhere else. The movie quite simply captivated me. I was thinking Sundance...I was thinking new age music. I burned sage after the movie and put Fleetwood Mac on and danced the night away. It was almost as if the movie was for play to my Pagan night. Then I watched American Idol and liked that better...but over all...I saw John Howitts name under mine in goggle and wanted to check out his work...and I must say, the night was wild...talk about Indian food!
