Passion's Desire aka Animal Attraction II
allmoviesfan5 January 2023
The film revolves around a weird love square - if that's even such a thing? - between a publisher, his live-in girlfriend, the other person living in their house (a high school friend of the publisher's who is masquerading as being a lesbian but actually has feelings for him - and the publisher's ex-girlfriend, who is an erotic author, writing basically fictionalised reality on her relationship with the publisher. There are a lot of "almost" sex scenes in this film, but none that ever seem to follow through to a conclusion, so it isn't that much of a softcore movie (as it was marketed) and not much of a thriller, either. Problem is, you only find this out by watching. Pretty bland stuff, even when you consider the genre.

Dullsville.

Warning: Spoilers
There's no point in going on about this inexpensive piece of soft porn. The acting is at about the same level as that which might be found in a high school play in Edison, New Jersey. The direction is functional, which occasional hints of true skill as the more intimate features of pubic regions are avoided or edited out. Enough anatomy can be seen that we can determine that not only are the women clean shaven but the men as well.

The ladies are mostly blonds with fluffy hair and glossy lips. Their porcelain teeth glisten in the glow of candles or, who knows, in complete darkness. Their boobs are of a monstrous -- actually frightening -- size. The performers have rock hard abs, buns of steel, skin as smooth as silk, the horniness of minks, and blood testosterone of celestial magnitude. They look like me but not like you.

I didn't watch it all the way through. Another reviewer remarked that a good scene, which I take to mean a dirty scene, takes place in a car. I missed it. Maybe it redeems the rest of this Los-Angeles-shot piece of trash but I doubt it. The plot, such as it is, leads nowhere. It's like listening to Jeepers Creepers over and over without ever getting to Where'd you get those peepers.

You can watch something like this any weekend on Cinemax or one of the other cable channels. Unidentified fingers will caress unidentifiable fossae of pink flesh. Two narcissists of one or another sex will make love on the screen for pennies.

Boring, and sex-filled non-thriller...
dwpollar5 October 2001
1st watched 10/5/2001 - 1 out of 10(Dir-Mike Sedan): Boring, and sex-filled non-thriller about a man who publishes books and all the wicked ways that the women he is around try to influence him to bring them in on his supposed money. There are three women after him for various reasons and they get him in various ways but who really cares. Another loser in the erotic column for this one.

Absolute drivel!!
ronevickers13 October 2008
It's got to be said, straightaway, that this effort must rank alongside anything that's flagged up as being amongst the worst movies of all time. It is completely mind-numbing, and has absolutely no redeeming features whatsoever. Try as hard as you like, but it's virtually impossible to find any creditable attributes for this woeful movie. Acting, script, continuity, storyline and general production values are all poor in the extreme and, if you manage to struggle through the entire film, you'll merit a medal for endurance. If it was possible to score a zero, then this underwhelming experience would qualify unreservedly. It looks as though it was shot over a spare weekend when nobody had anything constructive to do with their time. The actors looked bored throughout, as the viewer certainly will be long before the end. Avoid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A Good Movie But Not A Thriller
sevenup@neo.rr.com19 March 2005
Warning: Spoilers
To call Passion's Desire a thriller is definitely misrepresenting this sexy film which has no elements of intrigue in it what so ever!

The movie is mainly about 3 plot points:

1.)A female(Amy Lindsay)lives with a man(Jeff Davis) and his girlfriend as a border who pretends to be homosexual....but why?Because this female border(Amy Lindsay)is in love with this man and can't bring herself to tell him so.

2.)A sexy woman(Lisa Comshaw) is a client of the publishing company that the man works for and is a past love of the man...but she is a user of people and plans to use this man again who Amy Lindsay's character is in love with.

3.)Plus the man(Jeff Davis)who can't decide if he's in love with Lisa Comshaw,Amy Lindsay or the woman he lives with!

Obviously no thriller elements in this decidedly lusty flick but still it has a tender, lovestory(between beautiful Amy Lindsay and an unknowing Jeff Davis),some very sexy scenes with Lisa Comshaw and whomever she's using to pleasure herself with and the gorgeous Amy Lindsay who has several moments in this tale of lust, jealousy, treachery and ultimately love.

Passion's Desire is an erotic film with a good cast...but it's not a thriller.
