Kevin Smith has finally managed to get Clerks III out into the world, years after he first announced that he wanted to make the film. So now it’s about time for him to move on to the next project. Looking ahead to the future, we have put together a list of Kevin Smith Movies We Want to See – and you can see the result below! Check it out, then let us know what Kevin Smith movies you most want to see by leaving a comment.
Mallrats 2
Smith’s 1995 film Mallrats wasn’t a box office success, but that hasn’t stopped talk of a sequel coming up here and there over the years – whether it would be a “Die Hard in a Mall” scenario, a limited series, or something completely different. The problem is that Mallrats is a Universal property, so Smith can’t do anything with it unless the studio is on board.

More than a decade before Netflix’s adaptation of The Sandman arrived on the scene, Warner Bros. TV hired The Boys‘ Eric Kripke to turn Neil Gaiman’s popular comic books into a TV series. The project was ultimately shelved and now, for the first time, Kripke is explaining why.
“WB gave me a crack at The Sandman but said it had to be network,” Kripke explained on Twitter Saturday. “It was my favorite comic, inspired much of [Supernatural], so I tried. Neil was kind and patient but, ultimately, it would’ve been a bad show.”

Children of the 1990s will likely dig Akiva Schaffer's new feature film "Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers" for reasons beyond the shock nostalgia. While "Rangers" does indeed lay on the pop culture and animation references thickly and heavily -- a keen-eyed Millennial will recognize characters from Eek the Cat to Mc Skat Kat — its most comforting aspect is its light, flip tone, and central character conceit straight out of a '90s Shane Black movie.
The premise of "Rescue Rangers" is that Chip (John Mullaney) and Dale (Andy Samberg) were, in fact, actors in a world where animated characters co-exist with live-action humans, a...

The Red Ranger in Power Rangers is usually the leader of the team, the one who gets the most prominent focus on the team and the most action figures! But which one is the best? We tried to settle that by ranking all the Red Rangers from the TV show and movies. Sorry, Supersonic Red Ranger from the Boom Comics. You died beautifully. Sorry to Hyperforce Red as well, you deserve a burrito.
44. Nick Russell (Firass Dirani)
Power Rangers Mystic Force
Nick is not great. Mystic Force was squarely focused on him and that red blanket of his. He had few redeeming qualities besides driving his bike into the face of a monster. He turned to evil in the finale for no discernible reason!
He was so ready to give up when faced with adversity, his entire team had to rally him to keep going. What kind of leader is he?...

Three months after the death of its longtime CEO Brian Goldner, Hasbro has named his successor. Chris Cocks, who served as president and COO of the company’s Wizards of the Coast and digital gaming division, has been promoted to chief executive officer.
Cocks, who joined Hasbro in 2016, will take over from interim CEO Rich Stoddart late next month.
During his tenure, Wizards of the Coast has become a major player for the company, more than doubling its revenue to $1 billion-plus. Cocks has worked on Hasbro’s popular Magic: The Gathering, Dungeons & Dragons and Duel Masters franchises. Before Hasbro, he led Microsoft’s Xbox Games and MSN teams and its gaming franchises Halo and Fable.
“Hasbro has amazing brands, gifted storytellers and unique entertainment assets,” the exec said in a statement, “and I am humbled to step into the position of CEO at this important time and to build on the strong foundation Brian created.

Since the Boom Power Rangers line of comics began it’s largely focused on the original Mighty Morphin team of characters. Now it appears that focus is about to go to the next level. Speaking at Emerald City Comic Con this past weekend, original Pink Ranger Amy Jo Johnson (who just directed an episode of Superman & Lois) let slip that she’s working on a comic for the line!
Johnson stated that “I wrote a comic book with my boyfriend and Boom is quite excited about it. We’re sort of in the process of getting it made.” Johnson describes the comic as taking place in the present day of the Power Rangers world, with the original Rangers now in their mid 40s. “A ‘where are they now?’ kind of thing – like a Power Rangers family reunion.”

Seal Team may have left CBS behind for Paramount+, but one of its stars is staying in business with the Eye network.
According to Deadline, Max Thieriot is developing Cal Fire, a new series based on Thieriot's "experiences growing up in Northern California fire country and stems from an original idea by the actor."
The series follows a young convict named Bode Donovan, who is seeking redemption and a shortened prison sentence.
He joins a firefighting program that takes him back to his hometown in Northern California.
The show finds Bode and other inmates working alongside firefighters to keep the region safe from fires.
Jerry Bruckheimer (CSI), Tony Phelan, and Joan Rater (Grey's Anatomy) are also involved with the series.

With its list of new releases for November 2021, Netflix will attempt to bravely step into a post-Squid Game world. Helping it in that mission is a diverse array of original series and films.
On the TV side of things, it’s a good month to be animated with both Big Mouth and F is for Family premiering their fifth seasons (on Nov. 5 and Nov. 25 respectively). It’s the live-action version of an animated classic, however, that might be Netflix’s crown jewel this month. Cowboy Bebop premieres on Nov. 19 and based on the first trailer, it will maintain the spirit of the beloved anime. And speaking of big hits, Tiger King 2 is set to arrive on Nov. 17.

When Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy announced the future of the Star Wars live-action TV universe on Disney+, she named several new series spinning out of The Mandalorian. A series called Ahsoka would pick up where the Jedi’s cameo in season 2 of Mando left off, as she continued her search for Grand Admiral Thrawn. The Book of Boba Fett would follow the further adventures of the franchise’s foremost bounty hunter and the assassin Fennec Shand (Ming-Na Wen). Then there’s the more mysteriously titled Rangers of the New Republic, a series that up to this point we know little about beyond rumors.
Rangers of the New Republic, as described by Kennedy during last December’s Disney Investors Day event, would tie into the other shows, all of which would converge in a big crossover event. But who would star on the show and what would it be about? Reports pointed to Gina Carano,...

Half Mexican and half Chumash, showrunner Karissa Valencia grew up “torn” between modern life and Native culture. That meant attending pop music festivals and using cell phones, while also going to sweat lodges, powwows and ceremonies important to her family’s tribe, who live on a reservation in the Santa Ynez Valley in Santa Barbara.
One of her favorites is the bear ceremony, when the Chumash honor the bear emerging from hibernation in the spring.
“It’s so beautiful to see, and it really is an indigenous philosophy and belief that everything has a spirit and everything is alive,” she told Variety.
That “love for Native magic, but also superheroes and creating really fun cartoons for kids” is the origin of “Spirit Rangers,” Valencia’s upcoming Netflix animated series about three siblings who each transform into unique animal spirits to conserve the National Park they work and live in.

For years Power Rangers basically had one continuity. Sure it was a little wonky and things didn’t quite all fit together but all the seasons basically took place in one universe.
Then Power Rangers Rpm happened.
At first it was assumed to be a series set far in the future but was confirmed in its team-up with Power Rangers Samurai that no, Rpm’s post apocalyptic world was its own continuity. Then Dino Charge ended with dinosaurs alive again so it was in its own universe. Ever since Power Rangers fans have wondered at the start of each season where that season could take place. Is it in the “Main” universe? It’s own universe? The Rpm universe? The Dino Charge universe? The Boom comics universe? One of the many, many offshoots?

Never underestimate the power of a good cover. I know it’s a little shallow of me, but to this day I literally buy some comics purely for the covers. I’ve bought comics in the past where I don’t really like the creative team inside or even the featured characters, but its behind a cover that I like so take my money. The reason I am just about to review Radiant Black is because the cover caught my eye. Bright colours, showcasing a new, interesting looking character, nice title, that’ll do. I know Kyle Higgins mainly from his DC stuff, which was solid, and Costa from the odd Power Rangers book I’ve picked up here and there, so a decent creative team in there as well. Let’s take a look.

Jon Favreau knows a thing or two about launching a shared mythology having laid the foundations for the Marvel Cinematic Universe after directing Iron Man, and while the sequel suffered from focusing too heavily on things to come at the expense of the story being told, you’d hope that he’s learned his lesson seeing as Lucasfilm are looking to replicate the formula with their Disney Plus roster of Star Wars shows.
Season 2 of The Mandalorian set the stage for three spinoffs without impacting the central plot, and fans now have The Book of Boba Fett, Ahsoka and Rangers of the New Republic to look forward to. There might be close to a dozen Star Wars shows in the works for Disney Plus, but those four in particular will occupy their own corner of the universe and presumably cross-pollinate in a number of ways outside of the main characters.

Lucasfilm has announced that a total of 10 new Star Wars TV series are on their way to Disney Plus in the near future. As we all expected, a bunch of them are spinoffs of The Mandalorian, including Rosario Dawson’s Ahsoka and a show called Rangers of the New Republic. No story details have been revealed about the latter as of yet, but the title tells us that it’ll focus on the heroes of the burgeoning New Republic, which has recently factored into season 2 of Jon Favreau’s hit series.

Lando Calrissian will return in “Lando,” a brand-new event series for Disney Plus. “Dear White People” filmmaker Justin Simien is in the early stages of developing the project.

This Power Rangers Beast Morphers review contains spoilers.
I have never been more surprised at an episode of Power Rangers than I was for ‘The Silva Switch.’ In the middle of the story, out of the blue, with no warning, we got an elaborately choreographed song and dance number featuring Steel in Nate’s body as the entire cast, augmented with backup dancers, sing about great it is to be human.
I…. I am beyond stunned and delighted. I never imagined this could happen in Power Rangers. There’s never been anything like this! The most “musical” the show has been was Zeo’s ‘Another Song and Dance,’ Kira singing sometimes, Antonio’s ‘Everyday Fun,’ the incredible Tanya music video ‘Stick Together,’ and a performance from random Rangers here and there. There’s never been anything like this, a giant production with decent choreography and the entire cast joining in!

Don't mess with clapback queen Kylie Jenner. The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star took to social media late Thursday, Oct. 29, to respond to a comment about her squad's "plastic" appearance. After posting a TikTok video with her BFFs, showing off their Power Rangers Halloween costumes, one social media user wrote, "Someone Said Plastic Rangers Pleaseeee." In response, Kylie, who dressed as Red Ranger complete with a red hot wig, clapped back, "and we love recycling." After shutting down the haters, Kylie and her Halloween squad—which included pals Anastasia Karanikolaou, Victoria Villarroel, Sofia Villarroel and Carter Gregory—continued kicking off the...

Chris Nee and her production company Laughing Wild are best known for creating all-inclusive children’s programming such as Doc McStuffins and Vampirina in bringing more representation to Netflix. The Peabody, Emmy, and Humanitas Prize-winning producer and writer has unveiled her first slate of series heading to the streaming giant — all of which are part of her overall deal.
“I am so excited to finally get to talk about the work I’m doing at Netflix,” said Nee. “As a writer and creator, I have so many stories I want to tell. I could easily fill my slate with my own voice. But one of the reasons I chose Netflix is that they afford me the opportunity to not only tell my stories but shine a spotlight on other talented creators and help them tell theirs.”

David S. Cass Sr., a top stunt coordinator in the 1980s and 1990s, who segued to a directing career, died Aug. 28 in Woodland Hills of complications from cancer. He was 78.
Cass began his movie career as an extra. He transitioned to alternating between acting parts and stunt work, starting with the 1963 John Wayne film McLintock!, on which he performed stunts. He went on to become a sought-after stunt coordinator and second unit director with such credits as Smokey and the Bandit Part 3, Knight Rider 2000, Walker, Texas Ranger and the Desperado TV movie franchise.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie is a cult classic amongst ‘90s pop culture enthusiasts and Power Rangers fans. Even with its fairly standard ‘90s adventure movie plot, wherein the Rangers lose their powers and have to go on a mystical quest to gain new ones, the film still sticks in the mind. Main baddie Ivan Ooze chews all the scenery, there are some impressive fight scenes, and the Rangers save the day by kneeing a monster in the balls. Yes the CG is dated, the story doesn’t hold up to some of the better episodes of the show, and it’s not in continuity with the series but if you want to have a movie night with friends of a certain age, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie is a solid watch.
While many love the film exactly as it is, it didn’t go from script to screen completely unchanged.

The Shlorpians made an appearance on Day 2 of Comic-Con@Home to drop an exclusive clip and talk about taking on the haters in the sophomore season of Hulu’s most-watched animated series, which has already been greenlit for a third season ahead of the second season premiere.

Hot on the heels of the announcement of the Mighty Morphin comic, Boom! Studios throws another new title into the ring with the simply titled, Power Rangers. Launching in September, the new Power Rangers comic will follow Jason, Trini, and Zack… and Lord Drakkon!
For those who aren’t caught up on Power Rangers comics, here’s a very quick rundown. While in the TV series Jason, Trini, and Zack all left to go to a “peace conference” they instead went into space to become the Omega Rangers. Lord Drakkon, an evil Tommy from another dimension, has just reappeared on Earth and it seems like, from the description below, he’ll be joining the Omega Rangers on their next mission.

It was officially announced last December that Paramount was working on a Power Rangers reboot, separate from the one Lionsgate made in 2017. We were told at the time that Jonathan Entwistle (The End of the F—ing World) was attached to direct, with the story said to involve a Back to the Future-like scenario about modern-day Rangers getting stuck in the past. Specifically, the 1990s. That’s all that’s been confirmed so far, but further reports have now provided more insight.
The Illuminerdi has shared a glut of information on the movie, including who the villain of the reboot will be. It’s said that Lord Zedd will be terrorizing the mighty morphin teens this time around, which is exciting news for fans, as Zedd is one of the most popular antagonists in PR history. He’s also the natural choice for the film. 2017’s effort featured Rita Repulsa,...

Will we see the Omega Rangers again? What’s next for the Rangers on Earth? What about that cover that was previewed that had the new Dark Rangers made up of Rita and her minions?
We sat down with Ryan Parrott to get some answers and teases to these questions. We talk about trying to free the comics from being in lockstep with the TV series, the new Dark Rangers, and his hints of what we’ll see more of going forward including more references to things that were only hinted at in the TV series!

Lionsgate’s Power Rangers reboot didn’t do big enough business when it arrived in 2017 to warrant a sequel, but it’s still inspired a strong following of fans online who constantly lament the loss of what could’ve been a fresh take on the mighty morphin franchise. It’s especially sad as the set-up for more was right there in the film’s post-credits scene, which teased the introduction of the coolest Ranger ever – Tommy Oliver Aka the Green Ranger.
We never got to see this new version of Tommy, but fan artists have imagined what he could’ve looked like in Power Rangers 2. First of all, back in March, concept artist Sanit Klamchanuan shared his take on the Green Ranger suit. And now, Awedope Arts has created a super-detailed 3D design based on this art, which gives us a realistic feel for how the character would’ve looked.

First off let’s talk about the biggest thing this episode will be remembered for. Sadly not the unique Zord battle but the mere reference to the Pan Global Games. Originally created in Mmpr, the Games were basically the Olympics and were used to write Kimberly out of the show. It’s nice that Power Rangers Beast Morphers remembers they existed and gave us this little nod. It’s a good instance of the show using its own universe and making it feel like it’s all connected, even in small ways.
It’s a shame this is what people will focus on when the Zord fight was genuinely one of the most unique in the series history. Traditionally these fights are cut and paste and rarely go longer than a few minutes. Having a Zord fight take up a whole episode...

Lionsgate’s Power Rangers reboot from 2017 wasn’t the hit the studio were hoping for, but one thing about it that was widely praised was the increased diversity of the team. To be fair, the original 90s show had an Asian-American and an African-American actor in the cast, but that most recent movie included a few more firsts: an autistic Ranger (Blue) and another (Yellow) who was hinted to be gay.
With Lionsgate’s franchise long dead, though, Paramount is now working on a new reboot. The project was officially announced last December, with The End of the F—ing World’s Jonathan Entwistle directing. And it seems the studio 100% intends to continue what the previous film did and increase the diversity of the Ranger line-up, offering even more major breakthroughs for the franchise.

Power Rangers Beast Morphers has fallen into a bit of a rut, hasn’t it? It’s not bad by any stretch of the imagination but it’s not doing much to stand out. Occasionally we’ll get an episode like ‘Artist Anonymous’ but by and large this season (and last season) have all been mediocre. They have some strong ideas that could make for compelling stories but instead we get episodes like this.
‘The Blame Game’ should be a winner since it focuses on the best character in Beast Morphers, Steel. Steel has been a joy from his very first appearance and even in a weaker episode he shines. Here though I’m not quite sure what they were doing with him. I get that he had to learn that not everyone deserves a strict punishment but… what was the point?...

Lionsgate’s Power Rangers reboot wasn’t a mainstream hit back in 2007, but fans loved it and have always bemoaned the fact that it never got a sequel. Especially given that a post-credits scene promised the arrival of Tommy Oliver Aka the Green Ranger in the next installment. While we never got to see the sixth Ranger join the team in this version of the franchise, the movie’s costume designer has now shared his take on how Tommy’s revamped suit could have appeared.

Power Rangers Beast Morphers Season 2 Episode 4
What makes a great Power Rangers episode? Ask any fan of the franchise that question and you’ll get a bevy of answers. Whether you’re talking to a kid who might like “the fighting” or an adult who enjoys the more subtle character moments, no matter who you talk to you’ll never get the same answer. Some might complain about plot holes, others might laugh at them. Some take the megazords battles seriously, others laugh at them for the goofy Godzilla style action. So what is the essential building block of a Power Rangers episode? What’s the one thing that can transcend most criticism and help even the silliest or plot hole filled episode?...

While it certainly has its fans, 2017’s Power Rangers reboot was not the mainstream success Lionsgate was hoping for. While many appreciated the attempt to deepen the characterization of the Rangers, the moodier tone didn’t sit all that well with the style of the original series and it seemed this alienated more casual moviegoers who were hoping for an easily-accessible, family-friendly adventure.
With Paramount now spearheading a separate reboot of the Mighty Morphin franchise though, it seems the studio has learned from the mistakes of the last one. We Got This Covered has been told by our sources – the same ones that said a Transformers reboot is in the works and that Disney is doing a Beauty and the Beast spinoff for Gaston, both of which we now know to be true – that the new Power Rangers film’s tone can be compared to Marvel’s Thor: Ragnarok.

The Power Rangers are being rebooted for the big screen and Paramount plans to change things up when it comes to the lineup of individuals who’ll be making up the Mighty Morphin team. And of the many changes set to take place, the studio is reportedly eyeing an Asian actress for the role of the Pink Ranger.
Amy Jo Johnson was the first one to bring the character to life both in the TV series and in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie. She’s reportedly going to make an appearance in the new film as well, as will the rest of the original cast, and since her time piloting the Pterodactyl Zord and wielding her laser bow, there’ve been several different pink-clad Rangers.

Millie Bobby Brown has already managed to tick off an impressive amount of franchises in her career so far. Obviously, she’s most known as Eleven in Stranger Things, she’s fought Kaiju monsters in Godzilla: King of the Monsters and she’s about to play Sherlock Holmes’ sister in Enola Holmes. But could Power Rangers be the next move for the teen star? Perhaps, as we’re hearing that it’s a possibility.

Paramount is pushing forward with a new Power Rangers reboot. As revealed by THR back in December, director Jonathan Entwistle is helming the movie, which will sport a unique Back to the Future-like spin on the franchise. Expect it to follow a bunch of modern-day Rangers being sent back into the past – the 1990s, to be exact – where they’ll attempt to return to their own time.
The chosen period setting obviously piqued fans’ interests as it suggested the film could crossover with the original Mighty Morphin TV series that ran from 1993-96. Power Rangers Beast Morphers Season 2 Episode 3
It’s the 900th episode of Power Rangers! Every time we hit one of these hundred episode milestones I’m continually impressed and a little shocked Power Rangers has continually defied all odds and endured. Power Rangers has been up against some pretty big obstacles including channel changes, corporate restructurings, and rights-holders changing hands. No other show would have survived that and stayed on the air every single year. That’s impressive, no matter what you think of some seasons, and I gotta give it praise for that.
