Extremely funny!

This is an extremely funny movie about teenagers and their professors with so many jokes and laugh-full situations, that you probably will not stop laughing during the whole movie.

It is not very deep or anything like that, but the acting, characters and dialogs are beautiful. I could watch this movie over and over again and I would never get bored. Everyone should watch this beautifully light-hearted movie!

I gave it 8 out of 10, but I don't believe that there are many comedies that would get more from me... I'm more into Godfather type of movies...

One in a lifetime ...

Through spontaneous gestures and constant assiduity, Mihajlo, a graduate, with great effort manages to draw Danica's attention, the girl of his dreams.

This is a story of the past, where Mihajlo and Danica, now husband and wife, look at their son, on prom night, and reminiscent of their own days back in high school.

This movie is not all about everlasting love, but also about the days without worries, high school days. It's very clean and moderate, and presents itself as a ideal of a graduate class.

10 out of 10, from me, because of his composed idea for how different aspects of life are not at all far away.

Classic

"Barking at the stars" was doing high school romance before it was cool, and they did it in a different way than any other movie. Believe it or not, even if the video quality of the movie itself isn't so great because it was filmed on a cheaper movie track, and it definitely isn't your Hollywood flick, it stills manages to keep itself on a pretty high bar. If you want to see a classic, the root of high school romance movies, not exactly like godfather-classic, but like we will remember it forever - classic. Interesting trivia: On most of bus trips (it doesn't matter to which place it is going) this movie is the most shown on the bus TV to keep the viewers interested, so not only people from that time will remember it, but everyone, everywhere.

Lajanje na Zvezde (Barking at the Stars) is a Serbian comedy about a class of high school teenagers and their adventures during the final days leading to graduation.

The movie is a flashback to the memories of Mihajlo and Danica and the time they had in the 60's as high school seniors in the days leading to their graduation. Mihajlo is vying for the affection of Danica, who at first does not seem interested in Mihajlo and rather prefers Mihajlo's brother.

Although Mihajlo's and Danica's story is the centerpiece of the plot, there are several intersecting stories involving professors and other students from their class. In particular, I found very amusing the story of Gavrancic, a not so bright student who dreams of making it big in the boxing world, only for his dreams to get crushed after he's defeated in his first professional match. Despite that, he manages to win the affections of the girl he likes and he's one of the funnies characters in the film.

The movie has several other interesting and funny subplots, including an excursion trip by the students that produces several memorable moments. The cast includes several established Serb actors and the acting is solid all the way through, with several notable performances.

I would recommend this movie to anyone who enjoys light comedies, it certainly is an enriching experience.
