A good beginning gone awry

Being a Sridevi fan, it was my duty to watch this movie in a theatre.

One of her last movies to be released, it came at a time when her popularity had waned to an all-time low. As expected, the film did not generate much excitement among moviegoers and flopped miserably.

But really, it's not a bad film at all. The first half of the movie is indeed thrilling and suspense-filled. It's the second part that sticks to the tried and tested Bollywood formula and lets the movie down.

Somehow Sridevi does not gel well (Am I saying this?) in the role of a psychiatrist who is suspected of committing murder. Rishi Kapoor, in the role of the CBI inspector who poses as her patient and who later arrests her is good but then is too old to be dancing around trees - though I must say the 'Hakka Yela Ye' number is quite hummable.

All things are sorted out in the end - the real murderer is revealed, Sridevi gets off the hook and lives happily ever after with Rishi.

Do watch it once - the first half is eminently watchable.

Horrible film, but Sridevi was great!!!

KSKJ is a very bad film. It's made really bad by the totally implausible script and bad acting of one of its lead actor, Rishi Kapoor. He had became really chubby and desperately needed to lose weight. God knows what made him think that he could survive in the film industry looking fat as ever and that too as the hero of a movie. Rishi was utterly unbelievable as an undercover cop. The only reason I watched that crap was for Sridevi. She was great as a psychiatrist wrongfully accused of a murder. But what's more ridiculous is the fact that she herself believes that she committed the murder while in fact she was innocent. She did her best to rise above a stupid script though. The first half was great as it was filled with suspense. But the second half was sluggishly long and once the identity of the killer is revealed, you wanna laugh!!! the movie throws a lot of red herrings at you, but at the end you feel they were not worth it!!!

The songs are quite hummable. 'Hakka Inna Yelo" and "La lai la lai" deserve special mention.

Overall, give KSKJ a miss!!!

Sridevi singlehandedly makes the film pleasurable. The first half is really good and the second half is OK but the cries and screams of sridevi holds you to watch it till the end. Also the song haka hela he is humming.
