Trivial porn as tease
lor_16 December 2014
As the unsubtle title hints, BREAKIN IN is a porn video about deflowering a virgin. Taija Rae as Fawn tries hard, but this cornball stag film concept has trouble filling out even a 71-minute format.

Main point of interest for me was an accidental control-group comparison with the desultory videos of the same time period cranked out on the opposite coast (NYC) by Joe Sarno. BREAKIN features at least 4 of Sarno's regulars, and they do a better job of maintaining one's interest under Jerome Tanner's direction here than they ever did being helmed by the master -likely because his heart just wasn't in XXX.

Video opens up with a Clintonesque definitional scene, where Rae declares her virginity yet carries around a bag of dildos, one of which bears the odd nickname "Theodore". Oh well, we know what she means.

First sex scene is a cheat, with a video of John Leslie and Jeanna Fine starring in ORAL MAJORITY. That's a fictional feature yet director Tanner did make a compilation video the same year with that name (minus Fine and Leslie), and Fine later appeared in 3 sequels.

Comedy plot line has Fawn and her gal pal Nina Hartley trying to break into the adult industry while schlubs Herschel Savage and Randy Paul figure that becoming adult video actors will help them get laid (!). They fail but then impersonate adult filmmakers and of course cross paths with the gals -pure corn.

Along the way there are many all-stars making forgettable appearances: Joey Silvera as a gangster, Sharon Mitchell as his wife who's seduced poolside by Savage, and Sarno regulars Siobhan Hunter and Shana McCullough as lesbians acting in a porn video for director Vincent DeGaul (Jack Baker in a typical non-sex guest spot).

Oddest appearance is Honey Wilder, usually the center of attention, but here relegated to a comedy bit as a secretary wearing horned-rim glasses at a porno studio, impressively filling out her sweater and then fetching two uncredited trannies to scare away job applicants Savage & Paul.

Not exactly a hard-hitting expose of the adult industry, just tongue-in-cheek horsing around.
