This is the real version of Serbian "Apocalypse Now", simple, effective, acted in rural stile to perfection. It's hard to understand for foreign viewers in his background politics flavor. I dare to all possible viewers to do some free interpretations of this film on other historical ages of Serbian people: 1804, 1878, 1914, 1941, 1991, 1999 ..... Do some regarding on this scene: Dragan Nikolic attempt suicide on river, Serbian East Bosnia village civil victim, "execution" of German officer, Chetniks-partisan family house divided - flamed over partisan commander, deaf Paja Vujisic, scene in the well, scene in which all villagers rise for repentance....
