Hasn't aged too well, but offers a decent touch of nostalgia Warning: Spoilers
"Backstreet Boys: Everybody (Backstreet's Back)" is a 6-minute music video for the Backstreet Boys song mentioned in the title. This one is from 1997, so it has its 20th anniversary this year. The director is Joseph Kahn, who was pretty young back then just like the band members and still makes music videos today, for example collaborated a lot with Taylor Swift recently, but also made full feature films. Anyway, back to this one here. Unreal how old it already is, I remember there was huge hype around it back then and that's fine as it is a pretty catchy tune, but one must also say that the contents of the lyrics were extremely forgettable to be honest. Costumes and effects make slightly up for it, but the story, especially the BSB's acting at the very end is also very much on the weaker side. Like I wrote in the title, it probably hasn't aged too well. Still worth checking out, but maybe you need to have heard it back then already to really feel the tune. Still it's undeniable how cringeworthy especially Nick Carter was in here. Girls may have loved him back then, maybe even more than Justin Timberlake, but today they certainly wonder why. I give it a cautious thumbs-up.
