Sometimes slow, but still good
Tito-86 May 2000
Good performances help to elevate this movie, a story of two sisters who confront the stepfather who had abused them years earlier. Descriptions of what had occurred are wisely kept to a minimum, and instead, there is a greater focus on how the abuse affected the sisters (especially the older one). The film had several slow moments to be sure, but there were enough interesting times to keep me watching. Towards the end, I started to like these people, and I just wanted everything to work out for them. There was nothing particularly original about this film, but I liked the way the story was handled, so I do think that it's worth checking out.

engaging and realistic, emotionally honest better-than-average TV movie

This movie caught my attention as I was flipping channels on TV. What I first noticed was that the characters and dialogue were realistic. I could imagine meeting these people - it wasn't contrived and it wasn't larger than life. I thought it was engaging and well done, and more challenging and honest than most stuff on TV. The actors really brought the characters to life and made their interactions believable. The pace was somewhat slow at times, but for me at least, the suspense was always there and it never felt dull. It's not the type of movie I'd like to re-watch over and over again, but it was a pleasant way to spend an evening.

This Canadian made movie feels like home, the roads and forests familiar. The storyline is familiar too. The Acting is the most perfect and real Ive ever felt. I was riding along in the truck. I was in the forest. I was there for that last satisfying scene. You must be still and fall into it, otherwise you wont feel its full impact. I search for it often, but cant find even a still shot. Please re release this movie.
