a trip. more than a film. inside the universe of an age. in middle of a naive and charming and so simple universe. the world of Chipollino. friends, challenges, adventures. out of Disney universe, using the tradition of children literature as basic ingredient for Russian animation. after almost a half of century, it is not easy to say why this so simple animation remains seductive. maybe, for the science to be perfect refuge. or as slice from a time who becomes a far land, so different by contemporary universes. because, it is just a beautiful film. inspired by a lovely book. and good occasion. to an imaginary trip. in the universe of childhood.

a small onion. and his adventures.a lovely animation who preserves, after years, the charm of an age, the seal of a regime. inspired by literature for children, tool of entertainment but, in same measure, propaganda, it can be support for remember the taste of a period, for discover a manner to enjoy and for see one of interesting pieces from Soviet animation school. a film maybe not remarkable for viewer of our days but extraordinary for old generations for who young Cipollina was the authentic hero and the version of classic fairy tales more than fascinating. I admit - I am one of Cipollino fans and this small animation, far from any blockbuster or Disney universe, remains a lovely isle from a lost continent.
