The man who comes out into the street yelling "That's my car!" was Maxin Ross, who is uncredited. He owned the Platinum Club in Manila, the Philippines and several of the girls who worked for the club are extras in the movie. This scene was added to the original script as a thank you to Maxin for being a generous host.
Bears no relation to the film American Kickboxer, which in fact had a sequel called To The Death a year making this the third movie in the series.
Dan Mirvish said that Jennifer Jacob, the girl appearing nude in the pool scene with Evan Lurie, was the daughter of the owner of the house where the scene took place. "For example, Jenö convinced some rich guy to let us use his beautiful house, swimming pool and jacuzzi for free, in exchange for letting the guy's aspiring 19-year-old actress daughter be in the movie. What the homeowner would only learn later is that the director required the daughter to be nude in the jacuzzi for her big scene. Needless to say, the homeowner wasn't happy. But by the time he found out, we were on to our next location," Mirvish said.
