The plot is basic fashion nude modeling shoot with the photographer and editor welcoming couple whose car breaks down, while involved in a pictorial with upcoming model. Oh, by the way, the photographed model has a boyfriend who is a tad bit unstable and on his way to the farmhouse! This is about sex and gorgeous naked bodies. The late Lorissa McCombs was in her prime, Brandy Davis just radiates as the blond beauty going through experimental sexual awakening, and bi photographer Gaelle Comparat is open to any sexual possibilities. Davis' hubby, played by Scott Carson, is a bit uncomfortable with her budding interest in sexual exploration while eventually letting go a bit when she and McCombs want to participate in a threesome. Karl Preston is McCombs' possessive beau, soon cast aside in favor of Comparat's stud, Marc Robinson. There's the usual various couplings embracing plentiful pleasure, like Davis with both women (her shower with Comparat just arouses because of how it spurns out of curiosity and embracing the interest that arises), Robinson with two of the women (especially in the tepee with McCombs), and McCombs with four (her receiving cunnilingus from Preston at the beginning after he compliments her body gives us a full appreciation of her impressive figure, like when she sits on his face). While a bit too soft and edited/lengthed for two minute scenes so there are a multitude of them (sometimes quality is indeed better than quantity), the women make up for it. Davis was blessed with this sex kitten body and girl next door look, McCombs with her gentle face and seductress form that devours the libido, and Comparat with her Parisian accent and appetite for spirited lovemaking; the film has an eyeful of titillation. Not the best of its type, but Testing the Limits boasts a bevy of beauties from the era of the late 90s/early 2000s which offered plenty of them. Davis and McCombs getting into an embrace while posing for Carson, soon engaging in kissy-kissy, is a highlight.

This film is a perfect example of the way a B-movie should be made. It contains all of the things that you want to see in this genre of film - a bevy of beautiful actors, prolific full-frontal nudity (including the male lead), a small, but not-unbelievable plot, and numerous but varied sex scenes.
There are three separate beautiful actresses in this film, all of which are seen more with their clothes off than on, the filming is top notch, there is a nice pastoral setting, and the plot is somewhat believable, but unobtrusive. There is also a wide range of sex scenes, from beginning to end. Frankly, you can't hope to do much better in this genre of film.

This is one of the weakest soft porn film around. I can't believe somebody wrote this stupid story before making some changes. The guy Mike is a major wimp and moron I can't believe he didn't want to take a shower with his bride-to-be Toni and be in a threesome with the french photographer Jan. He does do a threesome with Toni and Kristi but that was short I hate that every time in Soft Core Porn Films threesomes between a woman, a man, and a woman is short but a girl-girl thing is about an hour. To the makers of these films have the threesomes alot longer this film should've have two threesome scenes not one but two.

The plot is stupid, but, to its credit, the movie spends almost no time developing the plot. The idea here is pure eroticism. And erotic it is! All of the performers are extremely attractive both dressed and undressed, and it is usually undressed as this movie has an incredible number of (relatively explicit) erotic scenes. If you like soft-core this is as good as it gets.

It is a pity that director Brigitte Berman has made few films of this type because she could certainly give the more established directors a run for their money. There is little plot - a couple on a trip to the country take shelter in a lone ranch house which just happens to be the location for a glamour photo shoot. Then a jealous boyfriend arrives to throw a spanner in the works. The film though, is all about the sex and nudity and the film does not disappoint.
The film starts off with an energetic sex scene with Brandy Davis and Scott Carson. Then we get another sex scene with Lorissa McComas and Karl Preston. Once the location switches to the ranch house then it is a case of mix and match along with Gaelle Comparat as the photographer. It's not often that a movie shows up with so little promise. Cable cheerfully listed this insipid title with its Kiss of Death `R'. And the normally encyclopedic IMDb in its original buildout (now corrected) could only produce the year of production and the names of two of the male leads, leaving the impression that late-night cable was segmenting its audience with `Biff and Steve Work Out At the Gym'.
And tuning in listfully, ten or fifteen minutes into the movie, in the middle of an unbelievably demure romp in the woods, this could easily be mistaken for an Amish-rated version. Then an extraordinary event happens. We move to a tandem plot line and Internet Vixen, Lorissa McComas, appears in one of her patented nude photo shoots. From that moment, this movie never falters, using its twin plot lines (couple stranded in the woods meet photographer and model on location) to display erotic scenes like a hatrack hangs fedoras.
Intentional or not, the three principals are a virtual viewer's menu of women: blonde, brunette, and redhead. The pageboy blonde is elfin Brandy Davis, whose huge eyes and provocative smile are as inviting as her very natural-looking body. The brunette mane belongs, of course, to Lorissa; with a near-perfect body, she can go from innocent to wanton in the click of a camera shutter - the lens loves her and she loves to return the favor.
The third item on the bill-of-fare is a lush French redhead, Gaelle Comparat. A relative newcomer to late-night cable, Gaelle still earns her Merit Badge in sexual mischief. In the first of two girl-girl scenes, she joins Brandy in the outdoor shower to play a little Lather-Me-Up, Scottie. (A corollary of the unwritten rules about girl-girl scenes seems to be that they are more legit in `wet' environments: shower, pool, hot tub, etc.) She also has a scene with her ex-boyfriend, extending an invitation to bed by plunging her hands down the front of his boxer shorts. Now this is just a movie and Gaelle is a professional actress working in this movie and she' s probably just winding her watch in there. But the invitation appears very genuine and sets the tone for an intense encounter.
The second group grope begins with Lorissa in another photo shoot, undressing and inviting Brandy into the hot tub. Brandy is open to all suggestions and joins Lorissa for a bit of exploration. As the scene heats up, they pause in mid-caress, look seductively at the Sensitive Boyfriend, and invite him to join in, plugging directly into the USB of the male libido. But even with this appeal to a strictly male fantasy, the scene appears to be aimed at that narrow sliver of the female audience. Shot mostly in close-ups, with a few medium shots to show who's where, the low-key nature of this scene creates a lot of intimacy but not much raw carnal power. It's still provocative though, even if Lorissa ends her part by simply wandering out of the shot. (Since her next date is a blue-filtered Tantric yoga session in the teepee with her new boyfriend, maybe she needed to re-align her chakras.)
The movie finally just lumbers to a close with the arrival of Lorissa's psycho ex-boyfriend, who has been lurking throughout. With a flurry of fists, White Hats win the battle, couples renew their vows, and credits roll.
Still, it has been a great ride. This movie looks terrific. Crisply focused and saturated with color, it features gorgeous women, plenty of nudity, and more combinations than a lock factory. If this is the new benchmark of late-night cable, this will be a very enjoyable season.
