Saturday night trash!
redkiwi25 June 2000
Definitely a Saturday night trash movie!

A serial killer is knocking off female law students and photographing their bodies as he is a photographer professionally.

The beautiful lawyer tries to track him down, the trial is an interesting farce and although the twist was predictable it was reasonably well done.

The lawyer's former law school room-mate was a victim, and the victim's father keeps on cropping up with pieces of advice and wisdom ... "You have to trust the system".

Perhaps he can be Yoda in the next Star Wars film.

Slow at times with a poetic ending.
Tam-1628 July 1999
A suspense movie filled with one twist after another. A serial killer focusing on female law students, and once a law student himself, provides the plot to this movie. As the movie progresses, the DA finds herself in the position of needing the killer to help her solve another crime. Though the movie can be very, very slow at times, the final "twist" is worth watching the movie.

Reminiscent of Hitchcock!
dhoabod20 July 2004
What I really loved about this movie is that it was similar to Alfred Hitchcock's movies. There was not a lot of visual gore and violence, but rather it was suggestive, which left the horror to your imagination, which is generally better than any movie can depict. Also, I did not hear a lot of needless and ignorant profanity. That was highly commendable. I'm tired of hearing so much of that in films. I think we are all very desensitized to it. I was just channel surfing and when I hit on this movie, already in progress, I couldn't change the channel. It was that captivating. I highly recommend it!

The acting by all of these actors is very good. Mädchen Amick, Don Jordan, and Chris Mulkey are really excellent in this film. I thought that they performed good. The thrills is really good and some of it is surprising. The movie is filmed very good. The music is good. The film is quite interesting and the movie really keeps you going until the end. This is a very good and thrilling film. If you like Mädchen Amick, Don Jordan, Chris Mulkey, Bruce Dinsmore, Lynne Adams, Tara Slone, Cas Anvar, James Bradford, the rest of the cast in the film, Action, Mystery, Thrillers, Horror, Dramas, and interesting films then I strongly recommend you to see this film today!

Low budget, occasionally plodding courtroom based thriller
artbyjude22 September 2001
This movie centers around a Prosecuting attorney and her need to find and jail a psychopathic killer, who has a special thing for young beautiful law students. The good part is the ending. The bad part is just about everything else.

On one side, it shows the court system, and how easy it is for the guilty to escape under the right conditions. On the other, it shows that the prosecuting team have other tricks up their sleeve.

I don't think the ends justify the means, however, and the ultimate message is not a good one. Besides, there is very little action, not the best acting, and an unusually pedantic and dialog going on. There are better examples of this genre almost everywhere. My advice is to skip it.

Mulkey is very good, but film bogs down in ridiculous notions...
rixrex29 July 2007
Warning: Spoilers
You'll want to see this if you like Chris Mulkey, as it is one of his best performances and, fortunately for him, he's the most interesting character in the whole show. However, this is full of all kinds of plot devices that are both absurd and ridiculous. Contrary to the plot summary listed here, it is not about a serial killer and his accomplice; it is about a serial killer and a copycat killer. Since we learn the killer's identity right away, the trial that comes afterwards is a given to infuriate viewers as the 1st killer is found not guilty since there is not enough evidence to make a conviction. Truthfully, this case would NOT have gone beyond a preliminary hearing had the DA even decided to attempt to indict on such weak evidence. And there's even one juror hold-out who wants to send the guy up for murder based upon a "gut feeling". Our gut feeling comes from the fact we already know the killers identity! The lady DA and the investigating cop show themselves to both be corrupt in a later frame-up of the killer, but it's supposed to be okay since he got off before. There are several more absurdities that follow before we get to the end where two killers are convicted of murders they did not commit. But surely it must be fine doings since we viewers know they are guilty of other murders. Anyone with any intelligence at all will view this tripe with disgust at the way the judicial system is twisted around by manipulative lawyers and cops, the end results justifying the means.

Not the best, but will keep your attention

I gave this movie a 5, and that is because im in a good mood normally i would have givin this movie a 4.

This is the type of movie they show on Saturday after the baseball game.

I have to say that i have seen way worse movies then this, so its not just my good mood.

The lawyers in this movie were both stupid, the lady lawyer was not a very good actor.

The only actor that i though did a half way decent job is the guy that was the killer, that took photos.

There was something strange about this movie and i could not put my finger on it....just a weirdness that seemed familiar..

Then i found out that this movie was made originally in Quebec Canada, there you go
