During Beamen's first game, after the first touchdown but before the extra point, the TV score shows the Sharks already have 7 points instead of 6. Then players on the field talk about getting the extra point.

During the game in Los Angeles, the scoreboard shows a score of 21-7 for the Crusaders in the second quarter but in the next shot the TV score shows 14-7.

Madman's helmet alternates being on and off his head in different shots, while he is being ejected.

Early in the movie when a close-up of the Shark's schedule is shown, among the teams listed are the San Francisco Knights and the Texas Rattlesnakes. Later, the Sharks play a team called the Dallas Knights in the playoffs.

In one scene, the play clock is ticking down to 12, and then in the next shot, it is stopped at 25

During the playoff game which was played in Dallas, the on-screen scoreboard shows the Miami Sharks on the bottom of the scoreboard which, in American sport, is the usual place for the home team.

The schedule displayed after the game against the Americans shows 9 home and 7 away games for the Sharks 2001 regular season, with 4 of the last 5 games being home games. The number of home games should be the same as the number of away games.

When Ben-Hur (1959) is seen on TV, scenes are shown in the wrong order.

In the ending credits there is a thank you to Irvine, TX. There is no such city in Texas. The location used for the Sharks/Knights game, Texas Stadium, is located in Irving, TX.

When Willie dives for the end zone on the final play of the last game, there is concern that he fumbled the ball in the end zone. However as he broke the plane of the goal line in mid-air, it is already a touchdown and any fumble would not count even if the defense recovered it.

Sports reporter Jack Rose (John C. McGinley) misspells two words while typing up his piece after quarterback Willie Beamen scores a rushing touchdown by flipping over two defenders. The Word document says "Beamen is a lethal combination of mobolity and escapablity. A decisive passer who can deliver from the pocket. And a young man with the arrogance to lead and the hipness to give a damn." As a parody of Jim Rome, an actual reporter, who was known to be over the top, it is possible this character typing misspelling was intentional and meant to mock the know-it-all sports reporters.

On the other hand, and more likely, all people make mistakes while typing/key boarding.

The Sharks wear home uniforms, even when they are on the road. The home team is allowed to choose which jersey to wear (though it's admittedly unusual to wear the white "away" uniforms at home).

Going into the final play of the game, filmed in Texas Stadium, as the players come out of the huddle, three of the Dallas Cowboys's championship banners are clearly hanging from the rafters.

When Willie Beaman enters his first game, he says the snap count is on two. At the line of scrimmage, the ball is snapped on one.

A shot of Tony and Cap on the sidelines appears backwards. The numbers on Cap's jersey are displayed in reverse.

A Time Magazine Cover in one scene says "Super Shark" and has a picture of a shark. This magazine and cover is real; however, it is promoting Lo squalo (1975).

When Jack Rooney is working out, a crew member is clearly visible in the back of the room as his wife is speaking.

During the entire game in Texas Stadium, the film's lighting package is clearly visible rigged in the ceiling above the field.

In the beginning, right after Cap Rooney (Dennis Quaid) is hurt, the commentator calling the football game refers to Rooney's age as 38. Once he is helped up and carried off the field, the same commentator refers to his age again, but this time says he is 39.

The team name on the warm up jackets is misspelled as 'Shraks,'

When the starting QB gets hurt on a play (as the 38 or 39 year old QB did in the beginning), the backup immediately gets his helmet on and starts warming up in case he needs to enter the game. He wouldn't need to be looking for his helmet after receiving last-second instructions from the coach prior to entering the game.

When backup QB Cherubini goes into the game they show Coach D'Amato on the sidelines and Cherubini is behind him wearing headphones.
