- The entire premise of the film revolves around homeless teens/runaways looking to survive day to day. Many of them were the victims of abuse, and have been discriminated against for looking different. Deaths are mentioned in the film, including the death of one of the interviewees at the hands of one of the others.
- The entire atmosphere is very bleak, yet many of the teens still retain a positive, carefree attitude.
