A nudie with a vague plot
rlyeh-28 March 2001
This movie seems to have been made from a series of disconnected footage stuck together. It starts with a commentator talking about man's relationship to the sea, and shows some nice shots of fish, manatees, and the like. It then shifts to a nudist resort, with shots of people hanging out, playing volleyball, etc. Two of the nudists are the shown later in the movie. Those two, plus Eve, then make their way ever south across the globe to a deserted beach. The first two spend their time lying naked in the sun, but Eve is more prudish. Finally Eve decides to go for it, and makes her way to the beach. However, a Merman surprises her in the act of nude sunbathing, and she is scared away. But she is in love, and calls her friend, a topless model, to tell her about it. The rest of the movie focuses on said model, and her breasts. Which is ok by me as her breasts are truly some of the most amazing that I've ever seen.

Anyone have a copy? I think my dad is "Johnny Salvo".

My dad was in a skinflick at this time and place and the family story was the his screen name was "Johnny Salvo". He was hired as the merman because he had a wetsuit. The story he told matches this movie pretty closely. I would love to get a copy of this movie!!!

Odd fish film
mermatt2 February 2002
The purpose of the film seems to be naughty nudity.

We get some hockus-pokus about our relationship to the sea. Then the scene that gives the film its title appears -- one of the nude girls is frightened by a handsome young merman who comes up from a lagoon and talks to her, evidently wanting her to join him in the sea. She declines, but evidently she has fallen in love with him.

The oddist thing about the film is that there is almost no dialogue and you have to figure out the plot -- what plot there is. It is mainly just a nudity film. But, as I said, the merman is cute, and if all you want to do is watch an old nudie flick, this is OK.
