I'm suprised that Mike Sedan did that hot movie, before Erotic Boundaries his movies were terrible. Kathy Shower did some entertaining average erotic thrillers (L.A Goddess) after that she played mostly supporting role in erotic movies. In this movie she did sex scenes more than before but most important part is that her sex scenes in this movie are one of the best in erotic thriller genre, they are unique, very hot and exciting not like the sex scenes you seen in other erotic movies.

Erotic Boundaries is one of those films whose subject matter is deceptive. Its overt plot, a story of blackmail and deception, contributes little or nothing to the real story and actually harms the film's ending.
The real story in the film deals with the lost sexual connection between a comfortable, middle class husband and wife. Hubbie spends WAAAAY too much time at the office, where a VERY attractive office assistant stands ready to trip him and beat him to the floor at a moment's notice. Unfortunately, he doesn't notice.
Meanwhile, the wife, played by former Playboy Playmate Kathy Shower, runs into an old college chum, played by Lisa Comshaw (formerly Officer Robin Tataglia on Hill Street Blues).
It quickly becomes apparent that Shower and Comshaw were more than friends in their college days, that they were in fact :::dramatic pause::: GIRLFRIENDS! And not just girlfriends, but kinky lesbian girlfriends -- the very best kind, in short. There's a definite dominant/submissive edge to their relationship that manifests itself whenever the two are onscreen together. The movie is at its very best when the two of them are turning on the erotic heat during their scenes.
Something should also be said about the sheer beauty of Shower and Comshaw. Shower is a traditional Playmate of the Year type -- a leggy blonde with large breasts. There's a sleek beauty to her form that's hard to describe but probably defines the difference between leggy blondes in general and leggy blondes who succeed in becoming Playmates. And Shower's breasts are extraordinary even for a Playmate, not because of their size, but their shape and their habit of pointing upward.
Comshaw is a more exotic beauty, a pale-skinned redhead with full lips, almond eyes and a rounder, fuller form (this is not to say she's heavy, just that she doesn't look like the human equivalent of a racehorse). She's definitely Playmate material, when they aren't indulging their penchant for leggy blondes.
Together, they're tremendously attractive, complementing each others' already remarkable appearance. Yowzah.
An external review of Boundaries complained about Shower' age ("Couldn't they have found someone under 40?"). Aside from the general snottiness of the comment, I was genuinely surprised to discover that Shower was over 40. She looks 40 going on 28.
In any event, it's evident that Shower has been putting her extra time on Earth to good use -- she acts the part of a middle-class working wife being pulled away from normalcy by her own innate submissiveness and the memory of young passions very well. Comshaw, no stranger to the screen herself, matches her level of intensity, playing a dominant who has found a lost love and is determined to recover her to the full. Having appeared in a few bondage videos, Comshaw might be presumed to understand dominance/submission dynamics better than most, and she does a fine job with her role.
Like I said, sparks everywhere, for those with the wit to see them.
Interestingly, their dramatic chemistry is so strong during the build-up to the obligatory big lesbian sex scene that the big scene itself is something of an anti-climax. Still exciting enough by most standards, but not the pyrotechnic explosion of passion that is implied by Shower and Comshaw's earlier scenes.
While Shower is rediscovering her flame with her old girlfriend, her husband finally notices the cute young assistant who adores him. In short order, they have a very tasty scene together. So the plot's boiling big-time.
What I was hoping for from this movie was some kind of resolution that sprang naturally from the character development that had occurred. Would Shower find some way to incorporate her rediscovered sexuality into her marriage? Would she reject it as an immature sexuality which flowered only because she was neglected? Would her husband figure out that his job was going to cost him his marriage? Would he find some way to incorporate the hot young assistant into his life and keep his wife happy?
I was disappointed. Shortly after the assistant gets together with hubbie, the nascent cops-and-robbers plot kicks in full force. I can't describe the effect this has on the plot without creating too many spoilers. Suffice it to say that it's a cheat, a dodge, a cheap scam of an ending that reeks of bad faith and squanders the carefully developed characterization that precedes it.
I liked the movie despite the ending. Shower and Comshaw made it worthwhile. My advice, watch it for them and for the skill with which the character conflicts are established and built on throughout the movie, and try to ignore the ending.

frustrated wife gets kinky

Kathy Shower is still incredible and the sex is interesting. Obviously the plot is lame but you don't watch this movie for the high drama. The supporting cast is also great looking and there is at least an attempt to have some reason for their actions.
A sad story, broken relationships, and unhappy people doing bad things

This picture is full of beautiful, healthy, prosperous people with active sex lives, and yet they're all miserable!
Shower and Agee's characters are tired of each other. Despite their attraction, they're not enjoying their lives together. They have sex out of a sense of marital obligation.
Carolyne Smith's character is young and cute and ready for love, and instead of enjoying herself becomes an exploitive, manipulating little fiend.
The daughter is there only to give Shower's character a hard time. What a waste!
This picture is a puritanical lecture about how no good can come of healthy sexuality, and the best you can expect of life is a faithful spouse, and if you're good and faithful you won't get involved with bad people who will wreck your life. Yecch.
Kathy Shower and Lisa Comshaw are beautiful to look at, especially considering their ages. Their lesbian "relationship" brings nothing but pain and anxiety. There's no love in it, just domination and exploitation. It's a nasty, homophobic theme, and must have been written by someone who doesn't know any real-life lesbians.
Carolyne Smith is gorgeous to look at, and sexy as hell in this role, despite its misogyny. But her character is sick and hateful, and self-destructive in the end. I enjoyed her a lot more in the comedy _The Naked Detective_, because *that* character was enjoying life. People who are enjoying life are more attractive than miserable people.
The title on the box in the video store is _Boundaries_, not _Erotic Boundaries_.
