La règle du jeu.
ulicknormanowen6 September 2020
Jean-Baptiste ,a doctor, and his friend Antoine ,a comedian , go hunting and find a young man , François , unconscious: he has committed suicide and the doc has his stomach pumped in his own home ; he bets a case of Bordeaux wine bottles with his friend that he can help him start to enjoy life again.

The survivor shows some vague leftism but it takes a lot of imagination to believe this journalist is a suicidal person:André Dussolier 's performance may be, according to your opinion, character acting or ham ; his pairing with cerebral actress Bulle Ogier is ,depending on whom you ask ,a delight or a bore to end all bores ;Jean Rochefort 's and Daniel Ceccaldi 's acting saves something from the wreckage.

In a desirable mansion, it's all light-hearted gallantries , navel-contemplating and fortune cookie philosophies ;the undergrowth is nicely filmed as the characters walk through the trees .The unexpected ending is preposterous ,considering there's no real dramatic progression, except for a trite rivalry between men for women .

No suitable for veggies.
