    good humoured enough

The whole thrust, as it were, of this is not really to my liking. Carol Connors has to play the dumb, blonde and innocent hopeful whilst various ragamuffins take advantage as she thinks she becomes a star. It is good humoured enough and if most of the sex is with wide eyes, pigtails and, 'Will this really help me become a star?' type dialogue it's hard to take violently against it. What saves the film entirely, however, is a rather spunky orgy at the end. Difficult things at the best of times this is really rather well done with none of the preceding 50 minutes or so faux innocence, this is fully bloodied and revels in the open enthusiasm of the participants.

    Gong and Dong

Carol Connors returns as the ditsy, goofy blond with two big assets walking down the Hollywood walk of fame while the soundtrack rips off the Bee Gees 'Stayin Alive.'

Written and directed by Gail Palmer, one of the few female directors working in the porn business in the 1970s and 80s it is a fluffy sex comedy that parodies those young vacuous women who come to Hollywood seeking fame and fortune.

On the corner of Hollywood and Vine she meets sleazy Johnny Dooropener (John Leslie) who promises to make her a star and then promptly hypnotises her to suck him off by making her think she is licking ice cream.

Dooropener get Candy a gig as a singing act in The Dong Show hosted by Chuck Bareass where we also get a glimpse of the ping pong ball routine from another contestant (Wendy O. Williams.) Candy wins the show and Bareass gives her his prize from behind the curtain.

Dooropener keeps her money and continues to open doors such as a encounter with talk show host Johnny Farson and then a private audition with a Hollywood producer and all the time Candy always gives willingly as she is routinely told of traditional ways of greeting each other in Hollywood.

It all ends with a big orgy popular in sex films of the period, featuring a Sly Stallone and Farrah Fawcett lookalike and Dooropener gets his comeuppance for being a sleazeball and Candy realises she is not up to the cut and thrust of Hollywood.

John Leslie who with Jamie Gillies was one of the stronger actors in the golden age of porn is just having a great time as Dooropener by showing off his acting and comedy skills. Connors is adorable and bubbly as Candy and although it is hard core porn it has a silliness with its comedic parody of the entertainment business.

    good.

Good movie, very 80s, you can not expect much from a film like this,, Sirpa Lane is an actress of erotic films, a nice body but nothing exceptional savant to a pornographic actress from the body disappears, but the '70s were characterized a small breasts and a simple eroticism. Not demand a lot from these films are light years away from the movies today, the world has changed incredibly. The plot is simple and the actors not extraordinary. And the brunette actress has a single body, has one breast slightly bigger. Be satisfied. Papaya also is not great but at least these films have a certain charm ... Download them again but then again who knows what you pretend not to them.

    Funny and weird

This is a funny and rather odd film with many 70s pop culture parodies. The acting is bad, the plot is typical, the theme is a parody of "Staying Alive". Starring Carol Conners the high-voiced innocent bimbo, this is dramatic cautionary tale of those seeking their fortune in Hollywood. Puts Ghandi to shame.

    A XXX Classic!

Never mind the Gong Show parodies (which is hilarious and separates this porno from most pornos). This skin flick is notable for 2 reasons: Carol Connors was actually on the Gong show on TV (she couldn't act on TV and she certainly can't act in adult movies, but at least she didn't have to act in adult movies), and The Plasmatics's Wendy O'Williams plays a contestant on the 'Dong Show.' I won't spoil the scene but I will say she is very talented with ping pong balls.

Get this classic XXX movie at any cost.

Johnny Dooropener: I have a big vanilla ice cream cone for you, Candy. Johnny knows how much you like ice cream cones. Now stick it in your mouth. Suck on it. Isn't that good? Suck on it. Teach you how to sing. Sing. Let me hear you hum. Hum.

Candy: Hmmm... hmmm... hmmm... hmmm... hmmm... hmmm... hmmm...
