History has many chapters.

Having watched this show for multiple years. The sad thing is I have to agree that it is no longer as high a quality show. I enjoy when the hosts are diverse in all aspects- race, political leanings and personalities. It seems to have lost that spirit.

Sunny Hostin seems to find a way to make everything about brown/black people. I am a proud Irish descendant of a family that clawed out from indentured service in early America. Many of my ancestors came here to work and build this country. Please don't diminish the importance and contributions of those that came from Ireland, England and Italy as indentured/forced labor. Those workers built a large percentage of the Northeast and parts of the Midwest.

Meghan McCain

This person is very obnoxious, rude, loud and disrespectful. She constantly interrupts and talks over the rest of the panel and will not shut up. She pouts and pulls faces and thinks no one sees her, so bloody childish. She disrepects the British monarchy and brings up the war of independence constantly. We got over it why can't she? As for the poor taxpayers if Britain having to pay for the royals she should do some more research and she may learn that it costs them very little. Please stop talking about your father like you're the only one who has ever lost one. We all know he was a good man but I'm sick of having him shoved down my throat. On top of that your voice grates. Time to get rid of her.

To those who have bashed Joy here

You are getting your wish - she is leaving the show.

May I just point out that if we as viewers had the power to get all co- hosts with views we disagree with fired, there would be no show.

Morally, ethically, financially, politically, religiously ... the country is pretty much 50-50 in their views these days. You have to come to terms with this fact. Half of the viewers do not see Joy as bitter, biased, or loud-mouthed. In fact, these uncomplimentary characteristics (and many more) can be used to describe every member of the cast.

Yes, Joy is sometimes irritating. She interrupts others. She can be uninformed at times. Every cast member is guilty of these charges to a certain degree. That is bound to happen with a show called The View. You shouldn't watch this show if you can't tolerate hearing views you disagree with without making it personal.

the view from my perspective

Since Elisabeth has left on Mat leave, the atmosphere on the show is much more relaxed and less catty. There is no more self righteous, religiosity. Elisabeth put everyone on their guard.

Whoopi is wonderful, she brings a relaxed , intelligent, confident and firm presence to the show. She is a wickedly funny woman, who is operating under a lot of restraint, it's like she is playing straight man to Joy, rather than the opposite. Sherri Shepard is okay- a black buxom version of Elisabeth only with a sense of humor. Barbara casts a dignified, almost regal aura, I liked Rosie. I think she shook things up a bit(a lot), I'm hoping Whoopi won't be on her guard so much, she seems to be holding so much back. I understand why, but let loose a little Whoopi! It would be great to get a woman with a Jewish perspective on the show, Barbara is very evasive of her heritage and it doesn't serve the Jewish population well. We need some representation too!
