  • A man suffocates a boy's pet mouse in a plastic bag.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • A man tries to run over a young man with his car.
  • A man is very emotionally abusive to a mildly mentally-challenged young man.
  • Some emotional adult themes and one violent scene gives the film its R-rating. It's a light R. But it should be emphasized to parents that this film is not a sweet film for children about cute animals. A PG-13 rating would probably suffice. But not recommended for kids under 13.
