Leading Korean film sales agent Finecut has taken international rights to stylish genre actioner “Project Wolf Hunting.” The company will launch it at the Busan International Film Festival’s Asian Contents and Film Market which starts at the weekend.
Directed by Kim Hongsun, the film is set on board a cargo ship which is being used to transport dangerous criminals from Manila in the Philippines to Busan, South Korea. An escape attempt leads to a riot which in turn unleashes a sinister force.
Kim is known for delivering stylized genre films including “Metamorphosis” (2019), “The Chase” (2017), and “The Con Artist” (2014). For “Project Wolf Hunting” he has assembled a cast of Korean rising stars including Seo In-guk (“Pipeline” and TV’s “Doom At Your Service”) and Jang Dong-yoon (TV’s “Search” and “The Tale of Nokdu”) as two protagonists, alongside veteran actors Choi Guyhwa and Sung Dong-il in leading roles.

Jamie Foxx learns to be careful about choosing his dance partners on Thursday’s episode of Fox’s competition series “Beat Shazam,” as seen in an exclusive sneak peek. After the host rewards the teams for correctly identifying Foreigner’s “Hot Blooded,” he decides to cut a rug with the show’s DJ, October Gonzalez. But Foxx wasn’t expecting October’s husband, NFL legend Tony Gonzalez, to suddenly make a surprise appearance. “No, no, no, no, no,” Foxx says with a laugh, quickly putting an end to the dancing. “Tony Gonzalez, the greatest tight end to ever play football.

Bones Season 12 wrapped up leaving our TV Fanatic round table team of Ashley Bisette Sumerel, Christine Orlando, and Bones fan, Pam, with a lot to talk about.
Were they satisfied with how Bones Season 12 Episode 12 tied up the story? Which character’s ending did they enjoy the most? And what were their favorite installments from the entire series?
Read on and find out...
Were you satisfied with how the series ended?
Pam: Yes, I laughed, clapped and cried. It was a good ending and a happy one which doesn’t happen often in TV land.
Kudos and many thanks to cast and crew for their talents and storytelling. I was very pleased with the finale.
They wrapped up our characters very well. Saying goodbye to Bones is like saying goodbye to an old friend, one you know you won't likely see again.

Series finales can be tricky, especially with shows that have been on the air for many years because fans expect a lot.
There are always multiple story lines, characters, and loose ends that should be tied up before it’s all over.
To do it in a way that satisfies everyone is almost impossible, but Bones Season 12 Episode 12 left me smiling and content, which is far better than several of my favorite shows have done.
(I’m looking at you Castle and How I Met Your Mother!)
Let’s start with the explosion.
In our Bones round table, I said that I might feel manipulated if there were no deaths or serious injuries after such a huge explosion.
I was wrong. The explosion at the Jeffersonian gave us some great moments of drama and led Brennan to face one of the most challenging obstacles of her life.
Booth: You saw Bones.

Bones signs off on Tuesday, after 12 seasons of crime solving, evidence examining, blood, guts and, most importantly, bones. But at the core of the long-running Fox procedural -- the “heart of the matter,” if you will -- was a partnership between forensic anthropologist Temperance Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and FBI Special Agent Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz).
From their first episode together, Brennan and Booth’s dynamic was electric, and while the will-they-or-won’t-they of it all took nearly seven seasons to sort out (more if you count that they don’t actually tie the knot until season nine), their relationship kept fans hooked for all 245 episodes. We watched Brennan wrestle with her feelings as Booth looked for love, saw them lay it all on the line only to yank it back again, and finally, at long last, got to witness their happy ending. Two kids and countless hurdles later, they’re still going strong.

Deathwatch By Jean Genet (trans. by Bernard Frechtman) Presented by the Hot BLOODed Theatre Co. St. Mary Magdalen Church, NYC July 26-August 6, 2016
Seminal existentialist writer and activist Jean Genet's 1949 play Deathwatch (his first) is intimate in its scale, consisting almost entirely of three men in one room, so it is appropriate that Hot BLOODed Theatre Co. has located their current production in a very intimate space on Manhattan's Upper West Side. The result of an actor-centered process that forgoes a director, this production, their first in NYC, is a lithe, lean hour of theater that bodes well for future productions and successfully implicates the audience in its own voyeurism.
The single room in Deathwatch is a prison cell, within which are confined George Lefranc (Max Kantor), Georgie to his cellmates, and the young Maurice (Beatriz Cavalieri), both imprisoned for lesser crimes, along with the murderer Green-Eyes (Daniel Csutkai), who is awaiting execution.

30 years ago today, audiences were treated again to the utterly watchable pair of Daniel and Mr. Miyagi. The Karate Kid, Part II opened in theaters on June 20, 1986. In the sequel, released two years after the original film, Daniel’s wax on, wax off early training days are behind him, and he’s impressively slicing through six blocks of ice. The boy and his mentor travel together to Mr. Miyagi’s home village in Okinawa, Japan. Sparks fly between Daniel and Kumiko, the niece of Mr. Miyagi’s childhood girlfriend, to the synthesizer-tastic tune of “Glory of Love” by Peter Cetera. The song hit the top of the Billboard Hot 100 later that summer and got an Oscar nomination for Best Original Song. Other notable June 20 happenings in pop culture history: • 1948: The Ed Sullivan Show — then titled Toast of the Town — premiered on CBS. Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis performed in that first episode,...

Between them, Duncan Jones’ Warcraft: The Beginning and Ubisoft’s live-action Assassin’s Creed feature are shouldering the burden of expectation when it comes to 2016’s video game adaptations, and in particular whether they can break the mould. But there’s another project emerging from the other end of the games-to-movies spectrum, and that is Sony’s animated Angry Birds movie.

Welcoming moviegoers to Bird Island, the snippet introduces us to the village idiots: Red (Jason Sudeikis), Chuck (Frozen star Josh Gad) and the temperamental Bomb (Danny McBride). Bringing an end to that tranquility are the conniving green piggies, who make shore on Bird Island and immediatley win over the majority of the population, but Red, Chuck and Bomb aren’t convinced.

Not only is Angry Birds a hugely popular game with tons of different versions for you to wile away the hours on your smartphone or tablet, it’s also about to become what Sony Pictures Entertainment hopes is a big, blockbuster animated film. We’ve had a few looks at it already, but with the release creeping closer, a brand new trailer has hit, and…well, it’s got kind of a long, weird, pee joke. Check it out for yourself below. While the last trailer was set to Michael Jackson’s "Bad," this one adds Foreigner’s hit "Hot Blooded" ("Bad" does make an appearance down the line a bit) to evoke the short, explosive temper of the protagonist that forms the core of the narrative. In his defense, he does have a lot to be angry ...

On Monday's Bones, Brennan refuses to guess if a victim was male or female after inspecting a skull because Hodgins is present. He's a fellow scientist, so it's not the same as making her determinations in front of Booth.
Living together means fewer inhibitions and no self-consciousness ... Tmi!
Later, Booth consoles Brennan after the team learns that the victim was just 14 years old. Sge makes it clear there is no empirical evidence that ghosts exist, but her emotions definitely do. It's okay to cry, Brennan.
Finally, in the last of the four "stand-alone" or "bonus" episodes held over from Season 7, Brennan and baby Christine share a tender moment in the kitchen… rocking out to Foreigner's hit single "Hot Blooded."

The clip below from Sunday’s new episode of True Blood probably won’t make Alcide fans too happy…
I suppose glamouring Alcide into keeping his paws off Sookie is classic Eric. (I was glad that the Alcide-Sookie makeout scene went on as long as it did last week but was also surprised that Eric and Bill didn’t pop up sooner to interrupt it.) It also resets the sexual tension — rather than finishing what they started, Sookie could now pine for Alcide. No matter how you look at it, Bones is a remarkable show. It deftly blends humor into some of the most tragic (and gory!) storylines to be portrayed on television. It also offers a delicate balance of familial friendship that has enchanted viewers for the past six seasons, and remarkably continues to lure in new viewers each week. For a show entering its seventh season, Bones is showing no signs of slowing down and — as this week’s heart-breaking episode will demonstrate once again – is creatively at the top of its game.

Sanctuary, Syfy's surprise (to me) hit returns with new episodes April 15th, and the show has recently been picked up for a fourth season. I say surprise, by the way, only because the show plays fast and loose with just how wild it is going to be, and how strange the events that unfold will become, and that doesn't often sell well, even for sci-fi. When last we saw our crew, they were in a city at the center of the Earth, and who knows what might be in store for us with another season.
To help kick off the second half of the season, stars Amanda Tapping and Robin Dunne were available for a Q & A call recently, and the result was really quite a cool interview.

If you have Netflix and are a horror fan in need of something to watch this Labor Day weekend, one look at this gargantuan list I compiled of the new terror titles Netflix has added for instant streaming in just the first three days of this month should keep you busy until Labor Day next year. You'll find something for everyone, from older titles to recent releases, famous to obscure, classic to not-so-classic, monsters to maniacs - you name it.
For the record, I considered compiling this list in alphabetical order or by year of the film's release, but then I realized I had already spent well over an hour just sorting through the massive catalogue of titles Netflix has now made available for instant streaming and realized Labor Day would be over by the time I finished arranging this list in any kind of order. Ready? Here you go.

I debated titling this recap "Testicle Festival," but since we never found out what caused the victim -- a rich poser at a rock & roll fantasy camp, murdered by a fellow camper -- to have a prosthetic gonad, it didn't feel right. For me, the fantasy camp fell a little flat -- I didn't know the guy playing famous guest guitarist Erik Dalton was Josh Todd from Buckcherry. I just sorta thought he looked like Carey Hart. Nor did I understand how cool it was that Michael Des Barres played the camp's frontman, Simon Graham, until I looked him up online.
