Vamps

Friends don't let friends buy movies as bad as this.

A strip club run by vampires lures men to their death. Sounds good on paper, but not in this movie. An innocent stripper recruit who does not know what she is getting into, falls in love with a priest who is a regular patron of the strip club. Not much more to write about this movie. "Stay far, far away from this production company" is the advice of my brother after watching this movie, and I could not agree more. There are some okay looking babes with lots of skin shown, but besides that a complete waste of time. No gore, little blood and nothing resembling frights. Only get this if you want an ultra low budget movie shot on video with some strip club dancing in it.

I just have to add that I know some people will like this movie and that is fine. Everybody likes what they like and I know there are lots of low budget horror movies that I like that others don't. I was recently at one review site and they guy gave 4 and 5 stars to mostly cannibal zombie movies. There were a couple movies that I really like that he gave 1 and 2 stars to. This is why I have more than just horror movies in my reviews. People can get an idea of what I consider good and what I don't and kind of get an idea of where I am coming from as far as movie tastes go. Horror is my number one genre, but I also like war, sci-fi, comedies and even a few westerns. I like some silent films and lots of foreign films. Anyway, with that said, once again, Vamps: Deadly Dreamgirls is terrible and please don't waste your time with it. I was sucked in by the front and back cover but I hope to not make that bad of a mistake again. But come to think of it, I did make my money back selling the movie on ebay....

This is Amber Newman's first movie, made when she was just legal (18). Her sex simulation is unmatched in this and every other picture she has made. Not a very good movie, it's still worth seeing because of her.

The other reviews label it as trash,but it was filmed in the vein of the 'B' movies. It was filmed here in Cincinati as well as the 'sequel' "Evil Ambitions". I doubt that they were made to be voted for an Oscar®,but as comic relief with a few babes thrown in for good measure. Yes, some of the dialogue is bad and may be borderline soft core porn,but maybe it was meant to be that way. Now ,both of these films as well as others from IE are available on DVD with bonus features. Go on. Enjoy them !!

Mark failed with this direct to video. A couple scenes are even a bit funny. The women in this film are very attractive. That said, it is the only blessing about the movie.

This was filmed in New Richmond, OH and northern KY. The one scene in the video store which had part of it cut was in my video store in New Richmond, OH. I was able to meet the women and later had them sign my movie poster which I still own.

Mark should have done better but he failed to take a fair story line and made this worth watching. As a manager of Eastgate Theater at that time he should have done better knowing what is good and bad on the screen.

Vamps: Deadly Dream Girls (1998?) was a complete waste of film. We normally can get through even the worst of movies but had to put this one on the shelf. We tried on two separate occasions to watch this garbage and failed. It borders between soft-porn and the worst episode of "Full House." This flick has everything, bad acting, bad dialogue and even bad editing. The script could've been made into a watchable movie but sadly these people failed. This nugget is offered by Independent Edge Releasing and we're sure that all of their titles couldn't be this bad. It runs 90 minutes and is unrated. Well worth the watch if you like this kind of "brain-candy" otherwise, stay as far away from this offering as the black plague. This opinion seems to be the minority amongst the underground circuit
