Crazy Ex-Girlfriend season two bows out on what might be its most intense episode yet...
This review contains spoilers.

2.13 Can Josh Take A Leap Of Faith?
Hands up if, at some point in this episode, you thought the massive cliff-hanger promised for the end of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend season two was going to involve Rebecca Literally Hanging From A Cliff? Because I definitely did. When You Stupid Bitch started playing and she walked out to the cliff edge to gaze expectantly across the ocean, I thought we were headed somewhere terrifying. And – well, we were, weren’t we? Just not physically.
Like the first season, season two ended on a wedding. And like the first season, season two ended with several characters making good decisions and then immediately following them up with huge, life-changing, insanely bad decisions.

When it was first revealed almost three years ago at E3 2013, Tom Clancy’s The Division certainly looked exciting. However, following multiple delays and allegations of graphical downgrades and potential problems, it became even more interesting, but suddenly for all the wrong reasons. Eventually – weeks after the worldwide launch – The Division has managed to achieve widespread critical acclaim from the majority of reviewers.
If you were as relieved as I was when the finished article actually turned out to be great, then chances are you’ve also been playing The Division as regularly as I have. After all, why wouldn’t you? It’s a massive project that’s so densely populated with things to do and discover that the chances you’ve already grown bored with it are very slim.
With that in mind, it’s time to consider various features and secrets that you may not have discovered just yet,...

I get it: There are more than a few concerned fans worried that tonight’s “Saturday Night Live” might be a less-than-stellar edition. Most know host Dakota Johnson from her most recent film role, which isn't exactly a "Bridesmaids"-esque romp. But think of it less as one hosted by the star of “Fifty Shades Of Grey” and rather one hosted by the former lead of the late, great Fox comedy “Ben And Kate.” Dakota Johnson might be more (or near-exclusively) known for the former, but she was straight-up funny on the latter. And while we’ll probably see more references to Christian Grey than Ben Fox, I just don’t have the same hopeless feeling I did before Blake Shelton took the stage in January. (Also? I'm never going to see "Fifty Shades Of Grey," but this recap is going to be a sarcasm-free when it comes to that book/movie franchise.

Last week saw Twelve and Clara in a stand-alone episode. “The Robot of Sherwood” had some great dialogue and character insights wrapped in a candy coating of absurdity. I don’t know about you guys, but I was along for the ride right up until the last ten minutes. A leap of faith via suspension of disbelief is acceptable…even expected…but the “golden arrow” might be the new “jumping the shark.” Can this week’s episode “Listen”, written by showrunner Steven Moffat, right the ship? ********** We open with the Doctor meditating on top of the Tardis above the Earth. He is listening for something. And he asks us to listen along, breaking the fourth wall to look right at the audience. This is a variation of a theme Moffat has played on before. Don’t blink, don’t breathe, don’t move. Be still. Listen. Inside the Tardis, the...

Until about 10 minutes ago, there has been so much conflicting information, if not outright misinformation, about what exactly "Better Call Saul" will be: A straight "Breaking Bad" prequel? A time-bending journey that includes adventures during the reign of Heisenberg? A comedy? A drama with occasional laughs? Huell's story? AMC's press release about the full cast and basic premise and setting fill in some of the details — including that it begins six years before Saul (then known as Jimmy McGill) meets Walter White — and now co-creators Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould will hopefully bring more of the show (not due to premiere until early 2015) into sharper clarity, without actually giving too much of the fun away. I'll be live-blogging all of Gilligan's charming Virginian self-deprecation, all of Gould's jokes, and whatever nuggets we actually get about the new show. (Note: all times will be Pacific.) 5:10 p.m.: Gould and...

Telling the story of the Jews is such an impossible task, it sounds like a routine Carl Reiner and Mel Brooks cooked up, just after the 2,000 Year Old Man.
The five-part series "The Story of the Jews With Simon Schama," though, is completely legitimate and scans further back than a mere couple of millennia.
Schama's brilliant take on history premieres on PBS in five one-hour installments on consecutive Tuesdays, March 25 and April 1 (check local listings).
It's an intricate look at a people who endure. Schama, who has racked up awards for his books and documentaries on history, art and literature, talks about how he initially shied away from tackling the subject.
"I had a slight sense, a residual sense that I was at my best when dealing with cultures not my own," Schama tells Zap2it.
He let the concept percolate for a while, and the result is the series and a companion book.

Have you ever been embarrassed, miserable, or disgustingly happy at a high school dance? Do you enjoy secretly DVR-ing High School Musical, even though you tell everyone you don’t understand the appeal of “Breaking Free”? (Which you totally do.) Are you a child, adult, or an in-between? Well, then chances are you’ll love Disney’s latest sure-to-be-tween-sensation Prom, which hits theaters April 29, 2011. Based on the trailer for the film — starring Friday Night Lights’ Aimee Teegarden and Thomas McDonell, looking very Heath Ledger-in-10-Things-i-Hate-About-You — it has everything: Romance! Fighting! Disco balls! Fire! (Wait, is this Carrie?!) A frightening...

Dearbhla Walsh's latest project, 'The Silence' will start a four night consecutive run on BBC on Monday, July 12th. The series, which filmed in Ireland earlier this year, stars Ifta winner Dervla Kirwan (Ondine) and Genevieve Barr in her acting debut. Eighteen-year-old Amelia Edwards, played by deaf actress Genevieve Barr in her acting debut, has recently been fitted with a cochlear implant, enabling her to hear, but she struggles to accept that she has a place in the hearing world. Breaking free from her over-protective parents, played by Gina McKee (In The Loop) and Hugh Bonneville (Lost In Austen), she goes to stay with her party-loving cousins, homicide detective uncle Jim, played by Douglas Henshall (Collision) and Dervla Kirwan's warm-hearted Aunt Maggie. Amelia witnesses the audacious murder of a policewoman, and is reluctantly propelled further into a loud and frightening world.

Dublin's Screen Scene is currently in post production with Company Pictures' 'The Silence', an atmospheric drama for BBC directed by Emmy Award winning Irish director Dearbhla Walsh (The Tudors) and starring Ifta winning actress Dervla Kirwan (Ondine) that examines the witnessing of a murder by a deaf girl. It's odd that I noticed, but it's been a while since we last heard "Breaking Free" and those other High School Musical hits. That's because the franchise's stars are busy moving on. Fans of the movie series are still following them through their respective careers though, and now that they've landed new projects it's a good time to track them down again.

Amidst all of the hot new gadgets that debut every year are a number of innovative yet lackluster products that probably shouldn't have been made in the first place. We've all seen them and rolled our eyes, but The Landfill Prize, presented as a tie-in to the book Enough: Breaking Free From the World of More by John Naish, celebrates them. The first annual prize was launched, according to its Web site, "to celebrate the stupendous creativity of the people tasked with inventing constantly inflated new wants for us to want. It's a monument to perverse imagination and needless consumption."
Among the winners: the bra dryer, the Dryear ear dryer, the Uroclub (a golf club with hollow insides for when nature calls), the operatic pasta timer (a timer that sings opera!), and--surprise--the Kindle. We don't necessarily agree with the latter choice, but the Landfill Prize defends it by claiming that...

The perfect Sundance film is "The Runaways", a film that is both provocative and haunting, a film that captures the mid-seventies with clarity and that beautifully explores the fascinating world of teen girl band The Runaways, fleetingly big at a time of social unrest.
The movie focuses on the often turbulent and protective relationship between guitarist/vocalist Joan Jett and lead vocalist Cherie Currie as they navigate a rocky road of touring and record-label dramas. The film beautifully chronicles the band's formation as well as their meteoric rise under the pervasive eye of an abusive manager.
"The Runaways" marks the feature directorial debut of video artist Floria Sigismondi who directs this riveting and hypnotic work from her own script, one that is both a sharply observed study of character, epoch and the purity of rock ‘n’ roil. Visually the film is strikingly gorgeous, one that cinematically explores the contrasts between...

"Drew Seeley brings fiction to life"
By Michael Aaron Gallagher
In what could have been a scene right out of Warner Premiere's “Another Cinderella Story,” Drew Seeley, who starred opposite teen sensation Selena Gomez as the fictional pop singer Joey Parker, made dozens of girls swoon as he took the stage at the 2009 Great New York State Fair in Syracuse, NY.
Drew Seeley serenades a fan during his recent concert.
Fans arrived early to reserve seats for the free afternoon concert in Chevrolet Court. Some audience members carried signs and wore hand decorated t-shirts, while others held out roses for the pop star.
Singing a mix of songs from “High School Musical,” including “Get'cha Head in the Game” and “Breaking Free,” a duet with special guest Tiffany Giardina, Seeley performed without a band or backup dancers.
At one point, he briefly jumped down off the stage to sing one of his songs among the crowd,...
