TV celebrity Oprah Winfrey, a 1985 Best Supporting Actress nominee for Steven Spielberg's The Color Purple, was the recipient of the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award. Among Wayans' movie credits are I'm Gonna Git You Sucka, Talking About Sex, Critics and Other Freaks, and A Low Down Dirty Shame. Wayans was also a regular on the television series In the House and In Living Color.
