Connie Sellecca plays Rebecca, a very immature woman who clearly doesn't know what real love is. She feels abandoned by her first husband, Jeffrey (Perry King), who's a surgeon and doesn't have much time for her, which is the normality in such a well-paid and high-end profession, especially if you work in a hospital. Her attitude annoys me because Jeffrey provides her the lifestyle she always wanted (as a socialite), with only a part time job as a professor in a university out of town. She is academically ambitious and her husband, although not perfect, is very supportive.

When she meets Mike, her old high-school sweetheart, things get complicated.

She doesn't tell Mike she's married and starts a whirlwind love affair that leads her to marry him on a whim just because Mike is a very pushy man and she wants to continue to live in this romantic fantasy world.

Foolishly, Rebecca believes she can keep two separate lives and love two men at the same time, since she only sees Jeffrey (her first husband) on the weekends.

She tries to convince herself that she loves both men for different reasons: Jeffrey is dependable and safe and Mike is passionate and makes her high.

This movie is not high art, it's rather entertaining because it's a trainwreck. They try to make it dramatic but it's borderline comedic. I really wanted to throttle Connie Sellecca for acting so silly and believing she could hold the charade forever. If you ask me, there is no way I would have cheated on Perry King because he's PERRY KING. LOL.

Just goes to show you a woman can love two men at once. Lover by day and lover by night.

I remember watching this movie from years back I believe on Lifetime. Connie Sellecca stars as a career woman who loves two men at once. This is very true I have heard many women mention that they have enough emotions and feelings to love more than one man at once. Connie continues the two love affairs on until finally she's caught in the act only to quit. Just that this movie shows that it is capable and possible to love two men at once it is not possible for a woman to continue this because of the emotions and guilt they feel. Good movie to watch try to find it on the Lifetime networks.

A woman is married and becomes involved with another man

A women(Becki) is married to a doctor (Danny) and they are both involved in their careers... when she goes back to school, she meets someone (Mike), and they fall in love. She doesn't tell her new love she's married and in order to keep both men happy she begins to weave a web of deception and lies. A lot of movies with this premise are comedies, but this one is not. They do a pretty good job of taking us a step at a time so we can actually see how she could fall into this trap.

Anyone who has felt that tug, whether you've acted on it or not, will find this movie interesting.

Didn't like the premise

Warning: Spoilers
I really disliked Connie Sellecas character in this movie. Are we supposed to think it's cute she's having an affair and lying to both men about it? She's so selfish and Unlikable. She has a sweet gorgeous husband who loves her and is supportive and she seems to want the not at all attractive old boyfriend she gets involved with. He is so pushy and childish. I can't believe she'd treat her trusting husband like she does and the movie treats that as if it's funny! I really only watched it cause I'm a Perry king fan but the movie kind of depressed me. The times her husband tried to make time for them she'd try to get out of it so she could be with her boyfriend. So she couldn't really blame him for not paying attention to her when she really didn't give him a chance. If her husband wasn't so nice and so hurt it maybe wouldn't be such an unlikable movie. It seems to be just an affair, not love with the unattractive guy and she's just using the good looking man. She's really an awful person. Sorry, the story I hated. I felt it was sad not cutesy. It's like it couldn't decide whether to be a sad drama or a kind of funny (?) drama. I would have liked her to come to her senses and drop second guy and make her marriage work.

One Wife... Two Husbands

Warning: Spoilers
A very impressive movie in my opinion. Very predictable but also quite intense & full of suspense at the same time. I've been a fan of Connie Sellecca most of my life & grew up watching quite a few of her movies and I have to say she is quite the actress, it's a shame she is underrated. I feel she deserves some credit for these TV Movies and she's made quite a few of them (especially in the mid to late 90's).

I wouldn't say "She Led Two Lives" is one of her best movies. I first caught sight of Sellecca in a TV Movie called "Imminent Danger" (US Title; Dangerous Waters) and this has to be by far the best movie she has made - one I can watch over and over). It's a remake of Meryl Streep's "River Wild".

Anyway back to "She Led Two Lives", I'll give it a 6/10 for sure. I like the way the movie was structured, and the intensity. Sellecca's character, Rebecca tries to live the same life but with two different men & keeping both lives separate from one another & along the way she struggles to maintain her career and double-love-life. It would have been more intense if the director had had Rebecca 'almost get caught with either men, it does happen once or twice but just that one step further would have been riveting.

I do feel that the second man she later meets (Mike Lewis) becomes overly persistent and pushy towards her, you'll notice this if and when you watch the film yourselves but he kind of becomes a bit irritant & full-on where as her current husband that she's been married to for 7 years (Jeffrey Madison played by Perry King) is much more affectionate, laid back & more understanding to her career and needs.

The movie ends in a way that one would expect & I won't spoil it but it's a happy ending for Rebecca. All in all a good film and it's a no surprise that this movie was based on a true story, bigamy does go on in the world today, it's just a shame there aren't more movies like this. Credit goes to the cast & crew and I hope we will see more of Connie Sellecca on our screens in the near future.

Great film!
