Very violent and dirty film by Daniel Calparsoro , including crude scenes and a lot of killings

Alex, Najwa Nimri, is a 20 year old girl, she is a violent, foulmouthed but sensitive youngster. She belongs to a dangerous gang carrying out trafficking and killings . Alex becomes involved with dangerous delinquents , Killers ,druggies, junkers and all kinds of scum . And she kills herself some crooks.Alex keeps financially all her family, her mother, Marivi Bilbao , Father , Saturnino García, and a little boy through weapons smuggling and drug trafficking. As everything becomes complicated, as violence generates more violence. As Alex becomes involved into a criminal cobweb plenty of dope, dog fighting , treason, violent events and murders.

This is an average and disagreeable thriller with suspense , twists , thrills , action and lots of violence . Najwa Nimri gives a good interpretation as Alex. She is the only girl on a men's violent band. Her life is torn between an existence based on violence or her need to love. Support cast is pretty good as Karra Elejalde as a druggie , Saturnino Garcia as Luis, Marivi Bilbao as mother and Alfredo Villa , fetish actor of director Calparsoro. Highlights of the movie are the photography in semidocumentary style, with camera over shoulders, showing essentially the great city of an Industrial Bilbao, pre-Guggenhein museum , and pruny surroundings as Baracaldo, Sestao.

Atmospheric and evocative cinematograhy by Kiko de la Rica, being urgent a perfect remastering because the film copy is wornout. The motion picture was regularly directed by Daniel Calparsoro in his film debut , he was born in País Vasco, where he often shoots his movies. Were his first films the followings : Salto al vácio, Pasajes , A ciegas and Asfalto . Subsequently , he directed films and Tv movies of all kinds of genres , preferently thrillers a Ausentes , Guerreros , El castígo , La ira , Inocentes, Tormenta, and the successful Combustión And 100 años de perdon.

Raw

This is a grim, raw and realistic movie about life in a poor neighborhood of a Spanish industry-city. You see a girl (who's in a gang) that can't take it anymore, fed up with the life she lives, full of violence and drugdealing. It's realistic, the acting is good, the camera-work isn't bad either. But to really like a film, it at least needs a little sense of humour in it, in my opinion, and I can't remember any. 6/10

A very bad movie

I think this movie is one of the worst spanish movies that I have ever seen. The characters are totally unbelievable. I have seen the actors in other movies, and they are good actors, Some of them are even wonderful actors, but they are awful performing this movie. Daniel Carparsoro is the worst actual spanish director in my opinion, but It is just my opinion.
