Porno director Paul Thomas does the occasional soft-core thriller, such as "Killer Looks" This one hit all of the targets. A lot of silicon on display here. The supporting cast didn't seem very interested. The three leads, though, put in pretty darned good performances. Sara Suzanne Brown showed some actual talent, unlike in the other vapid films in which I've seen her. Her beauty doesn't hurt either. Why, though, does this segment of Hollywood think that huge mounds of silicon are more attractive than the actual breasts of real women? Anyway, the film's plot (yes, it has one) is fairly decent, although somewhat disturbing in the (mostly) bland acceptance of the perversion of Michael Artura's character. I guess if you're going to make a sex movie, however...

This was not by any means necessary an original saturday night softcore movie, since there was hundreds of films with the same plot. Literally, you pick a stone from the ground and you will find a movie just the same as this. Shannon Whirry did a better one and an absolute classic of this kind of plot and era, and in the field of non erotic cinema, there are tons of stories like this, even Isabella Rossellini did it one.
In all this films, no matter what name you chose, there are one point you have to have it well: a good looking female lead actress, and like Metallica's song, nothing else really matters. If you have a good looking girl, nobody would pay atention to anything else. It could be or couldn't be nudity, you need a good looking female lead actress, even if she can't act, or act like Kramer on Seinfeld.
This is one in a zillion films over the same subject and more or less the same plot in more or less the same period of time, so you only have to ask your self one, and only one question. Do you like the girls depicted on screen? That's the only quiestion you have to have on your mind.
For what is my concern, I liked Sara Suzanne Brown in this paricular movie, but she never done anything more that could atract me besides this movie and another installment of the series starred by the one and only Shannon Whirry. A pretty decent girl, not even close to be the star of the year or something. Even in this, her best performance, is quite above average, much under what you can see on the same plot on Animal Instincts with Shannon Whirry or the other Shannon, Tweed, who played the exact same character on I can't remember what film, but who cares?
And, adding to this, for what I can recall, there is a brief scene with Janine Lindemulder and Lene Hefner on a parking lot, and since I have always a some kind of crush with Lene, that's enough reason to watch this film.
So, don't bother to use your brain, juts enjoy the girls.

I shouldn't have been too surprised when I found out that this movie was directed by Paul Thomas (under the pseudonym Toby Philips). Thomas has shown real talent directing X-rated films; he's been able to produce art in an oftentimes artless genre. Now he's proved he can make a good "legitimate" film as well.
There are differences between hardcore movies and so-called "erotic thrillers." The former of course relies on large doses of graphic, explicit sex with the plot being little more than an afterthought. In the latter the story DOES matter. In this movie it involves a couple who like to play a risky game. She goes out and picks up men, then right in the middle of her seduction he bursts in playing the role of the outraged jealous husband. They have fun pulling this scam until one of their marks unexpectedly returns to cause them trouble. Suddenly things aren't so funny anymore.
No one will accuse Sara Suzanne Brown of being Meryl Streep but she fits the bill just right in this movie. Blonde, short and stacked, the film gives her a chance to be sexy and to use her other talents too. She's very easy to watch for 90 minutes. I thought the ending wasn't as neat as it could have been but overall this is one of the more enjoyable movies of its type. For those interested in sightings of adult film actors in mainstream productions there are several here. Lene Hefner and Janine (Lindemulder) appear under their usual noms-de-porn. Actor Gerry Pike (listed as Gerald Piek) plays a plumber seen in the opening scene. (That's a classic porno role!) And Dyanna Lauren, credited as Diane Hurley, has a nice supporting role. There are separate listings in the IMDb with different birthdates and places for the two names, but trust me it's the same person. Identical twins couldn't look that much alike.

For me, it doesn't consider as SOFTCORE category because it does have more story than just random sex scenes. or maybe its softcore in 90s
all three main lead actors did good job in performance. As i remember there is SAME story , same american erotic thriller , same concept in 90s which i forgot the name. but that one has a bit stupid ending. this movie has good ending.
