- Doug is a Secret Service Agent who has just completed his stint in charge protecting Tess Carlisle, widow of a former U.S. President, and close personal friend of the President. He finds that she has requested that he not be rotated but instead return to be her permanent detail. Doug is crushed. He wants off her detail. - After serving three years as the Secret Service Agent in charge of protecting the unbearable widow and former First Lady Tess Carlisle, Doug Chesnic is relieved to return to Washington. However, she asks to her friend, the President of the United States, that Doug stays as her bodyguard for unlimited time. Doug and his team are forced to return to protect Mrs. Carlisle, who wants to impose her whims to Doug, like leaving the guarding team alone with her driver Earl or playing golf in a very cold day. Tess has also an incurable brain tumor that nobody knows. One day, she invites Doug to go to a picnic with her and out of the blue, she is abducted with Earl. The CIA and the FBI arrive to investigate and find her car, Earl doped and a ransom message in the glove compartment requesting US 15 million.
