In the song 'Tu Mere Saamne', Shahrukh wore the same clothes for the entire song, while Juhi's dresses change.
Sunny Deol, who was a more popular star than Shah Rukh Khan in 1993, was given a choice by Yash Chopra of either the role of Sunil Malhotra or the role of Rahul Mehra. Deol chose to play Malhotra, believing it would improve his career, but instead the reverse occurred: Shah Rukh Khan's performance was more acclaimed than Deol's.
This is one of the rare film in bollywood history where villian got more appreciation and sympathy from audience than the hero.
Director Yash Chopra initially wanted Ajay Devgn to play the role of Rahul, but Devgan was at that time shooting another movie in Ooty and never got back to him. Then Aamir Khan was offered the role, but turned it down because he was not happy the way Chopra had handled his character in Parampara (1993). Shah Rukh Khan finally accepted the role, and thus began a long association between Khan himself and Yash Raj Films.
The idea for the film germinated when Hrithik Roshan and Uday Chopra, Yash Chopra's son, saw Dead Calm (1989). Infact, the title Darr was given by Hrithik himself.
Obsessive love is a hypothetical state in which one person feels an overwhelming obsessive desire to possess another person toward whom one feels a strong attraction, with an inability to accept failure or rejection. Shahrukh khans character suffers from obsessive state of love.
