- Curly's wife flirts with all the men with the exception of her own husband, no sex is shown or implied
- There is talk of visiting a cat house

- The most graphic scene is when Curly and Lennie are having a fight. Lenny starts getting hit a lot and his face is seen with bloody injury detail. Then he grabs Curly's hand and starts crushing and breaking it. Blood is seen going down his hand. This scene is graphic and quite hard to watch.
- A bunkhouse row, a shooting, and a character gets his fist crushed in another character's powerful hand in a scene that's painful to watch.
- A person's neck is broken and he/she dies.
- A man is shot behind the head, the shot of this scene is rather distant and not very graphic as it is shocking
- A man is shown without a hand
- Offscreen, while Candy is laying down crying in bed, his dog is shot and killed by Carlson. Very sad to see and hear as the gunshot is also heard.

- The film is very sad and intense. And one scene with curly and lenny (check the violence and gore section for more detail) is graphic.

Frightening & Intense Scenes
- Lennie killing curlies wife is heart breaking, as george finally gives up on Lennie, and has to put him out of his misery
- Lennie is seen holding a dead dog, and crying about it being killed. Lennie probably ended up accidentally suffocated it. Animal lovers might be upset
- Curly is beating on Lennie, and soon Lennie takes over the fight and smashes Curly's hand, this scene can be scary and quite graphic. George shoot's Lennie in the head - Shot from wide angle, no blood is shown.
