Pretty good movie, highly underrated!
luigi70017 September 2015
This movie is so underrated, it had good music and a great cast. It has the typical love tale of two lovers whose parents are enemies, but the performances done here by Kabir Bedi and Sunil Dutt stood out. Salman Khan was good in his role, you can see he was starting to evolve as an actor, and Ayesha Jhulka does her role convincingly well. Now this movie isn't without its faults, I really believe that if they had done some of the editing in the movie better, the movie would've probably gotten a higher rating from me. Also Gulshan Grover delivers another great performance in this film as well. All in all I gave the film a 6.5 but since I liked the soundtrack and the performances so much I've rounded it off to a solid 7. In my honest opinion I would recommend this movie to Bollywood fans and Salman Khan fans as well.

Great Music
GypsiB29 August 2017
Prithvi (Sunil Dutt) and Suraj (Kabir Bedi) are best friends until a tragedy comes between them, turning Prithvi into a dacoit, while Suraj remains on the side of the law as a police officer. Some years later, their children (Aakash, played by Salman Khan, and Chanda, played by Ayesha Jhulka) meet and fall in love. When their romance is discovered by their fathers, they are forcibly separated, and must find a way to be united.

This sometimes melodramatic romantic drama has a predictable plot, and yet it is enjoyable despite that. There is some solidly good acting, especially from the supporting cast. The music, both incidental and songs, is truly beautiful, while the costumes are gorgeous.

All in all, while not an outstanding movie, Kurbaan is entertaining to watch and a delight to hear.
